Ngampilan Backpacker Hostel

Everything was really good. Hosts were super nice and helpful. We did a late check-in, and there were no issues. Location is a really calm.

Just a bit far from main tourist area (20 minutes by walk)

I really liked it. The hosts are nice and remember your name. When you want to be in a less crowded are and want to sleep without traffic noise I recommend going to Ngampilan. Wenn und chill outside in the evening you can hear the frogs. The rooms are quite small but so there are only 3 people inside.

Hospitality and attention are priceless. Simple but cozy facilities. Everything is clean and orderly. Yos, the owner, is extremely helpful and an exceptional human being. Helped arrange a cheap motorbike rental and was always helpful to welcome me.

The hosts are really friendly and attentive. Nice, quiet location and walking distance to the train station and Malioboro.

The shared bathroom and fridge could really do with a deep clean, but considering the price of this place I think you have to expect to get what you pay for. I'd still recommend it if you're not fussy.

Friendly host. Quiet location in a side street. The host can give you lots of information about the area. The spacious beds in the room.

Shower cabin flooded the toilet as well. A lot of hair was on the floor. A window right above the bed lets in a lot of light. Recommend to put a curtain there.

The husband and wife who own this hostel have helped me a lot since the first day I arrived. We often chatted about the places I should see in the city and they gave me good recommendations. Owner Yos helped me a lot to rent a motorbike and even took me to places that provide motorbike rental services with his own motorbike. Yos is a very good man. The hostel was very clean, you can use the kitchen, the internet is good and there are many places to eat locally and markets in the area. There is also a seating area in the garden and beautiful fish you can watch :)
