Lovely friendly staff Fantastic pool Great breakfast Very comfortable rooms

Very little hot water in showers. Only one person out of 4 could have a hot shower in the mornings No communication regards to the booking i made until the full payment was made I booked a self-catering unit six months in advance and was only told it wasn't available once they received full payment And then we had to move on the last night as they had overbooked

Dinner and Breakfast were very good. One of the best Chicken Burgers recently. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and acceptable. Staff lent an extension cord as power points were far from the bed.

Communication between Bookings.com and The Shrub Lodge could be better. The original booking stipulated free cancellation and pay on arrival. Instead I received an email asking for payment several days early, when I was in a remote part of Hwange Reserve. Then, the link given me by Bookings.com would not work for either of our credit cards. I had to pay by Bank Transfer to the Lodge's South African account. Finally I received an email trying to get me to pay for a reservation that I had already paid for and checked out. Clearly, the IT interactions between booking.com and the Lodge are deficient. All in all, a pleasant stay. A pity that the lovely, friendly staff's efforts are spoilt by IT iterations.

They allways helped us in every situation solving all our request. Great kindness and availability from the staff. Tasty breakfast and good position just outside the village. Thank you for your collaboration

It’s at close proximity to everything we were getting up to and It’s clean. I also loved the food, it was delicious

The flies

It was small and friendly. Staff were fab, especially Wayne in restaurant and Courage our driver. It was very clean and provided essentials.
