Springfield Inn

If it werent for the friendly staff, i wouldve given a lower rating. The accomodations look nothing like they do on the website. The first room they gave me smelled of mildew and the curtains and beds were damp. The next room they gave me had so much dust in the carpet and furniture, you could see it. The outside pool looked as if it were from a horror film. I dont know what was going on but had anyplace else had available rooms, i wouldve left.

They say it’s under construction, but I didn’t see any work being done while I was there. Dirty is an understatement. It smelt terrible. The air quality is so bad I developed a sore throat and had to check out early. It’s like the only motel in town and it was cheap, but I urge you to rethink booking a room here.

I did not enjoy my stay at this establishment at all. In a word the place was depressing. There obviously hasn't been anyl upkeep or maintenance done in this hotel for years. I will never stay here again.

The property is older and some areas need repair. However, it is clean and staff is friendly. There is an above average continental breakfast. The only issue I had at all was with Travelocity charge nearly $69 in fees above the hotel’s charge. I was unaware of these charges until after I had checked in. For this reason, no matter where I go, I will NOT book with Travelocity.

We registered, walked into the room, and left right away. The place is so disgusting we could not stay there. We found another hotel for the night. I expect a full refund from Expedia, this place should not even be featured on your site.

0000 STARS . We checked in on a Friday. the hotel looked dark, dirty and falling apart. The smell was foul. We went to our room. the carpet was come from our room on in the hallway. They were not under construction. There as food in our dirty fridge and the window did not lock. Someone was standing outside our window. We had to get to a rehearsal dinner. We put everything in our suitcases and locked them. The entire hotel was just gross and creepy. We left the rehearsal dinner and immediately checked out. They had already charged us for 2 nights. They said they would only refund one night. Instead of refunding the charged us for 4 nights. This was on 9/30/22. today is 11/3/22. Still no refund. I have called several times and emailed proof I was charged for 4 nights. We drove to the LaQuinta Inn in Bardstown for our 2 night stay. It was amazing. There is no way I would be able to sleep at the Springfield INN.

I stopped at the Springfield Inn in April 21 during the COVID 19 crisis while I was riding the Trans Am bicycle route. I found it a clean comfortable place, very accommodating, with a nice staff. I misplace an iPhone cable while I was there, though I didn’t know where I misplaced it until they mailed it to me several weeks after I’d finished my tour and returned home. I was really surprised by this. What other hotel would follow through like this? I really appreciate it. Thanks Springfield Inn!

We've been coming to the Ham Festival for the last 3 yrs, always staying at the Springfield Inn since this is the only Hotel in the city. We've always enjoyed ou stay until this last visit in September. Our beds were a full size bed which was o.k. but they were almost sitting on the floor. They were so low that if a person with a lot of physical issues would not be able to stoop that low to get in the bed. There was not the usual ironing board in the room which I always use . Instead you had to ask for an iron and ironing board at the front desk I found out when I looked in the wash room. The wash room that house 1 washer and 1 dryer was in bad array. the floor was half torn up, the shelf that was adhered to the wall was halfway hanging off the wall. The ironing board that was set up had a cover that was torn up. The room looked awful. Now to the Continental Breakfast area. I was there very early about 6:30 in the morning. There were only 2 bananas as the fruit, about 7 Danish pastries and only a few coffee creamers. A few bagels and only about 6 cream cheese cups. Sad, sad, sad. There was cereal and I believe milk. The staff was nice enough but the accomodations were terrible. The hotel has gone down so much. We will never stay there again and neither will the couple we went with......

We have stayed here several times when we are not able to stay close to Bardstown during Sept Bourbon Fest. One time we couldn't get anyone to even give us clean towels till I threw a fit. They have breakfast but if you don't get down asap there isn't anything but cold cereal and milk...(we just go elsewhere to eat)forget the coffee machine or juice machine working. This past time they put us in the wrong rm and we ended up moving and carrying luggage 3 times before they got it right. We don't smoke so trying to get them to give us a non smoking rm this time was terrible. We won't go back there again.

arrived on Sunday before the eclipse and stayed 2 nights. Children enjoyed the pool Rooms were very clean. It is an older hotel but reasonably priced with a very friendly staff Convenient to the area we were visiting
