Residence Inn Rochester Mayo Clinic Area South

This seems to be a new property, which is a welcome change from what is increasingly defining the Marriott brand, hotels that old and worn out, and in dire need of maintenance. So, that’s a big plus if you are staying at a Marriott. The hotel is in a nice area, and there are a few decent restaurants within walking distance. I wasn’t there for anything related to the Mayo Clinic, but I did notice a shuttle bus for guests going back and forth, which would be convenient if you need it. Unfortunately, the customer service was disappointing, so I couldn’t rate it higher than three stars. The man who checked us in was not professional, and I felt like I was bothering him just by arriving. He never as much as said hello. When one of my keys didn’t work, I went back to the desk to get it activated , but no one was there. Later, I wanted something from the market, but again, no staff at the desk and no sign or bell to let them know I needed help. I never did get that key to work. I try to tell the desk staff that I am leaving so they can alert the cleaning people but nobody was at the desk when I was leaving and the app was not completing my check out.

One of the best hotels for the money! Great front desk service and wonderful breakfast. Shuttle bus driver Terrance is the best!

I couldn't use hot tube because they gave us wrong room.

Wonderful place. Clean, fantastic staff, free shuttle, free parking, free breakfast! Close to restaurants, groceries and shopping. Rooms with full kitchens a plus!

Location neat Panera Bread & Wings & Nice shopping mall 2 blocks and fabulous Italian restaurant. Very clean. I recommend top floor

Tub and hot tub were great. We got a studio room which was like a tiny apartment. Very nice breakfast. Shuttle to mayo. Would definitely come back

This hotel is very reasonably priced. The rooms were amazing and it’s located right across dining options. Felt very clean and safe. Enjoyed our stay here while it lasted. Definitely recommend it!

Room was absolutely spotless, so clean..everyone was efficient and professional Morning breakfast omelette and sausage was cold and I was down for breakfast at 7:15 am

Was supposed to get a city view room and they changed my room to a view of apartments 😒
