Blue Surf Sanctuary

Great location. The four bungalows created an oasis. Loved having the kitchen to make breakfast in the mornings. Pool was an added bonus.

what an incredible place! I traveled to Costa Rica with my family (myself, my partner, and our 4.5 year old son) and two other families who also have young children. We had the most amazing stay we had at Blue Surf Sanctuary! Just a 1 min walk from the most glorious beach and minutes from the adorable town of Santa Theresa - which is teeming with amazing restaurants, cafe's, shops etc. - Blue Surf truly has everything you need! The accommodations are comfortable and beautiful and you can see all of the upgrades that are being poured into the place. We loved making a quick breakfast in the al fresco kitchen each morning followed by a trip down to the beach to pick seashells. Following a morning adventure - we did everything from horseback riding to ATV adventuring to shopping - it was back to blue surf for lunch and a break from the heat of the midday sun with either a dip in the pool or a break in our lovely air-conditioned rooms. More adventuring or beach time/pool time followed in the late afternoon and then dinner out at one of Santa Theresa's wonderful restaurants - NAMI was a fave for sure. No stay at Blue Surf is complete without a surfing experience with their instructor, Toro. It was my very first time surfing and Toro was so easy to learn from - his patience and passion are unmatched! We are already talking about returning this winter. An amazing experience to enjoy with those you love.

We moved from another accommodation to Blue Surf Sanctuary after deciding that we wanted to spend out last week somewhere nicer! This place did not disappoint. Its in a perfect location, and even though its located near the road, I found since its on the north end of the strip, it wasn't too bad and wasn't bothered by any traffic. The room was super spacious, we had the family room, so for just myself and my partner, it was more than enough and utilised the bunk bed for luggage etc. We loved the balcony with the hanging chairs. It was such a relaxed and chill vibe. The location near the beach was also perfect, really just a minute away, Can't beat it. The facilities were great, beautiful and large kitchen with a dining area. The pool area was also really lovely. Our host was also very accommodating, and if there was anything we needed, he was sure to help arrange it. Would love to come back and stay again!

Really don't have much to complain about! Its dusty, but that is Santa Teresa.

Really loved this place! Very clean, comfortable and very close walk to the beach. the property is gated in with a code so that’s also great. it is close to the main road so convenient to go places but there can be traffic noise. I’m from the city so that didn’t bother me. A/C worked great and good Wifi. plenty hot water and shower pressure. The pool was great. Very cute place and Rafa the property manager is also great makes it easy to check in and out. He also has great communication and can help you with ATV’s or anything you may want while there.
