It's location ...

Quite a lot of dogs that bark throughout the night so if you are a light sleeper it might be hard to get a good night sleep

Our host was most helpful, friendly. She prepared us tasteful breakfasts and dinners, always taking into consideration our wishes. The room was large, airy, very comfortable. There was always cold drinks in the fridge.

We stayed here for only one night before beginning a tour of Toraja. The room was large and comfortable and had the most amazing views across the fields to the hills beyond. The lady who owns the property could not have been more lovely. We are vegetarian but that somehow got missed, so when they brought us dinner it had meat, but she was apologetic, although it was probably my mistake, and brought us something else to eat in no time. We loved our short stay here.

As other reviewers have said , a very comfortable home stay in a beautiful location . comfortable beds , hot showers and a lovely view from all of the rooms . The hosts Monike and Geri are very responsive on what’s app and helped us make a night bus reservation from Makassar and arranged for us to be collected from the bus stop at 5am. Monike really is a wonderful cook , extremely generous meal sizes too! they put us in touch with a local guide who provided an excellent overview of Toraja in 2 days including a funeral ceremony . highly recommend

Me and my friend had a wonderful time in Toraja, and staying at Rura Raya was the best choice! The owner Manaek is a lovely and warm person ready to help with anything you might need, and she is an amazing cook-literally the best food we had in Indonesia! The room is clean and has a beautiful view of traditional Torajan houses. Highly recommended!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Rura Raya Homestay. Our Room had a really nice view over the ricefields. The host is really friendly and caring and the breakfast and dinner were fantastic :)

Wonderful food, the host ist cooking so delicious and food is a lot. The bed was comfy.

Brother of the female host was talking with our driver about prices, after our driver was asking for more money than the appointment from us.

The quietness. Breakfast was divine.
