The location of the caravan site site was great, the staff at Barmouth Bay holiday Park were pleasant and helpful. Great pool and children’s playground

While the location of Barmouth Bay caravan site is excellent, our experience with the caravan and the host was particularly disappointing. Upon arrival, we found there were cleanliness issues in the bathroom. Also, the seat covers in the living room and kitchen were found to be in poor condition, with some areas covered in a thin material while other sections were left exposed, revealing what appears to be grubby upholstery underneath (not as it is in the photographs advertised). Despite raising these concerns immediately and receiving an inspection visit from a representative, the owner never responded to address our complaints. There was no apology or offer to rectify the situation. Instead, we received an automated message about guest responsibilities. The lack of communication was particularly frustrating. Unfortunately, the unresolved issues and lack of response from the owner impacted our holiday experience.

Everything was perfect and close to Everything and was also lovely and quiet on the evenings.

It was dirty dead wood lice on the bathroom on the floor , light in kitchen didn’t work the left hand side of toaster through out sparks and a coffee jar in the cupboard was all black and hard disgusting

We unfortunately had a really unpleasant experience with this caravan. Damp smells and damp stained curtains are definitely not what anyone hopes for during a stay. It’s unfortunate that even using Febreze and bleach didn’t help. I hope these issues can be resolved before any other guests have to experience this accommodation.

Closeness to the beach.

The caravan was in a good area beach literally down the road easy to get to the shop and everything else so it was great.

The matress in the double room had been flipped over which I didn't notice untill I came to leave after I stripped the bed so no wonder I had had a crap sleep as the bed was so uncomfortable could feel every single spring. It mentions a dishwasher but there isn't one. We lost signal on the telly's the second night there so had nothing to watch in the bedroom as signal was no good. Next door neighbour was very loud up untill about 12, eg, music,shouting,hottub.

The location of the beach was incredible. Talybont beach was amazing. It's rocky and sandy so take shoes. The caravan it's self was nice, everything you needed. Bring salt. There's 2 varieties of pepper but no salt and the 1 thing I didn't bring haha. The pool on site was lovely, but basic. It was a tad cold for me, but the kids loved it. It's also free so can't complain. The staff all around the park were really nice. Including the shop and the amusements. The shop is really good value for money and has lots of souvenirs. Play park is good too. If you have older kids they can just nip there as it's quite central to all the vans. The amusements were great. Don't save or play for the tickets, as the prizes are tat. We used our 803 tickets on a pick a mix for the way home. There's a fish and chip shop on site. It's cash only, and quite expensive (1 fish and chips is £10. Says £7 on the menu but that's just for a fish). The portions are large though so Id recommend 1 fish and chips and an extra fish for 2 people (saves money as a lot was wasted). We didn't go into the bar apart from to order 1 drink so can't comment on the entertainment as we spent most of our time out. They do play the sport channels though which was a bonus for the boys of the family to catch up on scores when passing. Shell island is only a 13 min drive. £10 parking for all day and lots to do for all the family. Barmouth town was lovely too. It has a beautiful beach with white sand.

The pool could be warmer. Laundrette could be more cost effective. Works out at over £8 just to use the machines. Not including the wash powder. That might just be my opinion but that put us off using it and just waiting until we got home. We only really needed to wash towels and we got one for cheaper in the shop. Made no sense.

Worst caravan we've stayed in, dated and not maintained. grubby upholstery, fridge not cleaned and rusty, damp in the bedrooms. Could go on...........
