Staff we're friendly (if you could find them)

Lodge unclean. Missing items......... No hot water for days!!! Hot tub not treated. No chemicals? Bed broken! Missing tv remotes Old socks found under the bed (not ours) No oven tray to cook No fridge shelf! Door wouldn't lock properly Outdoor furniture broken with no cushions Any finishing touches have been forgotten about or ignored. The lodges aren't well maintained. The holiday cant be classed as a 'retreat'

Location was okay with some nice views.

Where do I start… None of the doors locked from the inside or outside so don’t feel safe leaving the property. The cleanliness was shocking, cobwebs everywhere. Dirty cutlery. The sofa bed had no board, even though the bed was never used the sofa dipped in the middle making it uncomfortable to sit on. The sofa cushions provided smelt vile. The hot tub was dirty around the sides with black tar everywhere, once it was on your clothes they were ruined. The shower was filthy. The floors were ripped and again filthy so make sure you take a mop and bleach. The outdoor seating area had seen better days, the table was sunk and missing the glass and the chairs had no cushions. The tap in the kitchen was very loose and hard to turn on or off. Not enough plates were provided even though there were 8 of us in the lodge, there were only 4 plates. The Fridge was warm, although I appreciate it was a scorcher of a day the fridge was turned up to maximum and barely chilled the water! The toilet in the en suite had a giant turd stuck to the bottom and stayed there rent free for the duration of our stay despite pouring a bottle of bleach down there. There was no bath towels (not like we’d of used them) we were only given a hand towel and a shower mat. The beds were worse than sleeping on the floor, didn’t get a decent nights sleep as the springs were sticking through the mattress, even if lying on top of the quilt. The pub which was on site served overpriced food that we had to wait over an hour for and we all couldn’t eat together as it was served staggered, however I appreciate that there was only one member of staff serving both the bar and kitchen. The seats in the bar were covered in dog hair and stained with god knows what. The outdoor seats at the back were dirty and covered in bird poo. We should have read the reviews and gave this place a wide birth! The pictures advertising Liv Retreats look NOTHING like the real thing!

Amazing location very rural and small little site beautiful views lodges were very nice. Staff were lovely was very peaceful we had an amazing little stay. Would return!! Visited Lincoln castle and the town we enjoyed it nice fresh hot tub and clean on arrival was a little worried after reviews but we had a fab time.

Signal wasn’t brilliant with 3 teens so be prepared for that we had board games shop is pretty far could definitely do with a little one on site maybe would make a fortune we found a co op nearby didn’t mind the drive some might.

Not a lot in truth, the staff were helpful and friendly but it was in desperate need of a lot of tlc. It was cheap though I guess. Beds were comfy and bedding clean.

The site is very deserted, other than the onsite pub. The onsite pub looked like it was halfway through a renovation with ladders inside, it smelled very strongly of frying oil and there was a lot of hair on the seats. The first lodge we had the jacuzzi didnt work and the water was cold but the onsite staff sorted it temporarily then we moved cabin the next day. Inside the first cabin, the lino on the floor was slit and broken and the shower did not work right, the shower head didnt stay up so had to hold it. The microwave also didnt work. The second cabin was very tired with a whole section of flooring that had sunk away, a trip hazard. The shower did not drain correctly and there were a lot of spiders. It also smelled strongly of cigarettes and there was trash in the sofa. The second hot tub was better, it was hot, but the flooring outside was very slippy with moss, the chair and tables outside were falling apart and the hot tub cover was filthy. The hot tub itself had a lot of dirt inside which made me feel icky and once I saw bits floating I got out and didnt get back in for the rest of the break. When we raised to the staff member about the floor, he said theres something wrong in every cabin and its too much to keep on top of. We felt like we had no alternative to either move to a suitable lodge and local hotels were sold out. On the evenings there was a lot of noise from people on the site, there was a lot of shouting and swearing. Overall, we had a good time, but that is because we spent the whole time in Lincoln, next time I would stay in a hotel in Lincoln as there were a lot of issues and I felt dirty coming away.

The place is lovely real peaceful and pleasant
