Ponderosa Motor Inn

It was right on the highway, no added travel, which was great after driving from Medicine Hat. Very affordable for a quick one night stay, clean beds, hot shower, even got a little breakfast. What else do you need? Also an awesome view of the mountains.

For the cost it was good, I’m not going to complain.

Overall it was a good experience.

The lady staff at reception at Night is bit rude.

Filthy carpets, dirty walls[ hss as nd prints etc].

Good continental breakfast . The manager’s friendly service ,the cleanlines of the rooms and the property surpass my expectations. Out of all the places I stayed at in Golden. I would recommend this placed to everyone. The other area I really like was the well maintained grass area with the swings for the kids and also the area with seating and barbeque area.👍

Everything was better than what I expected. Thanks to the manager and you can tell she’s good at what she does and loves it.

Location

The gap under the front door was so big the room was full of cotton fluff in the morning. I would definitely suggest not staying there in winter! The carpet was trashed, the mattress was not comfortable. There was a towel left on the shower rod and bits of paper on the carpet. Breakfast is muffins, cereal and tang. The only reason the rate is more than $65 a night is the location.
