Johnstown Motel

Dated but very well maintained, hidden gem right on the lake. Minutes from U.S. border crossing. We will definately stay again.

Beautiful area and relaxing view.

Lovely location on the banks of the St Lawrence river. Clean and comfortable. Fridge and microwave provided.

A bit old fashioned decor, and could do with some modernising, but having said that, everything worked fine!

Owners arranged a way for me to arrive after their office closed for the night. Room was basic but clean and quiet. Had a coffee machine, fridge, and microwave. Other side of the building looks out on the Saint Lawrence. Price is very reasonable. I expect to stay here again when traveling through that area en route to see family.

Bed was a little hard, but I still slept well and didn’t wake up stiff or anything.

The location is nice. It is close to a major highway.

The owners (front-desk people) are rude. They tried to get more of my money and the guy talked my ear off trying to justify why they charged more than the booking. The place looks like a very cheap road-side motel.

Nice location in front of the river, very quiet and very well positioned on the road from 1000 islands to Montreal (we needed to brake our trip). We received a warm welcome from the host. For this price, the room had all what we needed.

Despite the no smoking room, our room smelt of smoke. Unfortunately our room was in front of the street, at the opposite site of the river.

We were on the start of a visit to Northern ONT and was looking for a one night place across the border where we could eat and sleep. This was perfect for that need.

Tough question. Given the price, it was all we expected. A warm greeting, everything worked, nice enough restaurant nearby
