The idea of an underground experience.

The accommodation was found to be excessively dusty with inadequate ventilation, which severely exacerbated asthma symptoms. The sheets had holes in them, and the bed itself emitted a strong dusty and musty odor. Furthermore, evidence of rat infestation and their dropping was noted on the carpet in the room. By morning, my children and I had sustained numerous mosquito bites. The light fixture in the bedroom was broken, and the light switch was unstable. During the warm evening, the room became uncomfortably warm and stuffy. The hallway carpets were threadbare, with various rat and bird droppings. The shower facilities were unclean and infested with mosquitoes. The first shower's cold water tap was inoperable, the second shower produced only a trickle of water, and the third shower, while functional, had rat droppings on the floor and a severe mosquito infestation that persisted attacking even whilst you were under the running water. The light switch assembly in the shower was loose, posing a significant electrical shock hazard. The viewing area platform at the top of the “staircase to heaven” had an accumulation of bird and rat droppings, creating a health hazard, it was disgusting, obviously this was as a result of the broken glass windows and a non-functional door. The outdoor beer garden and reception area were cluttered with broken furniture, old barbecue equipment, cobwebs and weeds. The pool area was overgrown with weeds, dirt and non-existent. The dining tables had sticky surfaces, and the yogurt offered at breakfast was past its expiration date by 10 days! Given these observations, the establishment appears to be overpriced and overrated. We were eager to depart and do not intend to return.

Unusual underground accommodation, interesting history, basic but nice meal

Could have been a little cleaner however understand the wind blows the dust around a bit so likely to be an ongoing battle
