Baligen Bungalow

Greeted by friendly staff, hot water in the shower, staff available to clean the room/bungalow, nice pool area, A/C worked.

When I arrived, I was greeted by a construction site. I was worried I had been scammed. I had to walk with my suitcase through construction to arrive at the bungalow. I was awoken every morning with the sound of construction. There was no water on my last day. The window in the bathroom would not lock.

Beautiful balinese house, amongst the greenery. Great luminous room with a comfortable bed, ac and bathroom also ok. There's a big shared kitchen with filtered water available. Very nice area with two strategic entrances

Bedshits were pretty much consumed, and no mosquito nets at the windows. Hard to find from maps cause there are some building constructions going on around the property

The apartment was spacious and the large family bathroom was very convenient. The property also has a large adult pool and adjacent smaller kids pool. There were no issues with noise or anything and the location is good for those who don't want to be directly in the middle of town.

It's worth noting that although the property is called Baligen Bungalows they are in fact two storey not single storey as the name would suggest. The property can be accessed on two sides however both options take you through active construction sites with building work taking place on neighbouring properties. One side is worse than the other but even the better access route requires walking across an open muddy field, there seems to have been very little effort to put a proper path in. There is also active construction underway on site with more 'bungalows' being constructed. The rooms were spacious enough but generally quite dated with old noisy air conditioning units, the construction has also been such that there are large gaps around the shutters. Also, though we stayed for four days our towels weren't replaced for the whole time and in fact apart from check in we didn't see the host at all during the stay. In general the property was a little disappointing, especially as it wasn't one of the cheaper options, and it could be much improved by making a few small changes.

There is nothing that we liked in this baligen bungalow unfortunately .

The access to the bungalow was terrible , there were works on progress and we had to go through a "labyrinth" under construction to get to it. The bungalow was not at all the one that we booked, 250m² villa, in the inside as in the outside facing another bungalow under construction, that was the view!!especially the bedroom downstairs didn't even have a light ceiling, not clean , not to mention that nothing inside the bungalow reminded the pictures in booking. We informed the owner right away and he agreed to make an exception and refund . Never did!!we wouldn't recommend, loss of money, trust and time.

Really nice property, I stayed several times. Simple, but the location is very unique, wifi works well, the view from the room is amazing and the pool too.

Cleanliness in kitchen can be improved, and mattresses changed :)

I rebooked again, cuz I like the pool and natural environment so much. Wifi is good to work, and the upper room with the greenery around is lovely. Staff comes for cleaning regularly, if wanted. AC works fine too.

Kitchen could be a bit more clean (trash bin, cupboard, and the cups and plates in the cupboard), and I believe the mattress on the upper floor needs to be replaced, as it's a bit worn out on the side of the bedside table. A duvet bedding would be nice instead of just the bed linnen :)

Really quirky unique building complex, family home in the middle of nature and close to cafés and a coffee shop in a quiet part of Penestanan. Love the village vibe. Pool is clean and gets fresh water from the fish fountain every morning, the view from the upstairs room is stellar, kitchen with the basics you need, and peaceful vibe. Wifi was working well for me too! I almost never saw the family, though they and staff are available if you need them.
