Mt Gold Glamping

The beautiful views around this Glamping. It's so great experience for living in tent. We do BBQ ourselves. See stars from tent's transparent ceiling.

It is a little difficult for finding the path to glamping. Climbing a little hill is needed.

Beautiful location

Solar lights didn’t work. Some of the battery operated torches were dead, I’d expect the batteries changed for the price paid. Not super clean either for the price.

Super cozy beds, amazing views, and exceeded my expectations for providing amenities- really appreciated the extra blankets and clothing, portable chargers, lots of flashlights, and selections of teas and coffees.

Freezing cold at night!! Would be so much nicer with a small space heater or warmers. Also the hike up the hill is very challenging and should be made more accessible. Thought it would be a quick uphill hike but the steepness and length was way more than expected.

The dirt road to access the property is clearly sign posted for a four wheel drive vehicle. Which we did not have and we’re very worried about the car getting damaged. Additionally there is quite a hike up to the property which is not suitable for any one who has any disability or injury.

Great location, the glamping tent was great, getting into the location was a challenge and I wouldn’t want a big car as the bushes could be cut back to allow easier access and it was a challenge for the rental car. Our only real complaint was the water was tainted or stale, as we didn’t bring any with us, was a bit disappointing, this could be easily fixed for the owner. 😁

Fantastic instructions that are easy to follow for location check in. Awesome views and lots of fun.

Everything. It's isolated which is so nice, it felt like we were alone in the forest. We had everything we needed for cooking (other than food, which we brought) and cleaning up and keeping warm. Even though it was somewhat cloudy, we saw so many stars at night and it was amazing. Be careful to bring your trash inside because we heard a bunch of bumping around and night and when we shined the flashlight, there was a possum rummaging around in the kitchen! Thankfully we didn't have anything left outside, so it wasn't a big deal. Overall this was such a great experience, maybe my favorite in our south island trip.

Toilet isn't great but there's not much that can be done about that.
