Toiyabe Motel

A chair and desk in the room instead of a second bed.

Good location, clean facility

Staff lost my reservation and was difficult to communicate with in English. Noisy AC in room and no hot water in the morning.

New owners are not taking care of the lawn,trees etc. Not nice anymore.

Nice and peaceful

No breakfast was offered

1. The office staff does not speak English. 2. The first room the toilet was running. 3. The Kleenex holder in room first room empty. 4. Had to move to another room and again Kleenex holder empty. 5. Turned fan on and a bunch of stuff (dirt) came out- had not been cleaned or run. 6. Hot water heater broken so all three of us got cold showers prior to a wedding. 7. We told front desk and someone told us the hot water heater was broken and they were working on it and we would have hot water soon. 8. We became friendly with two other guests stay at the Motel who offered their shower and they told us they got their rooms same as ours for $70.00 per night, but they got hot showers. 9. I asked the guy at the front desk to adjust our bill to $70.00 per night since we got COLD showers. He speaks no English. He called his father the manager. All he did was argue that I should have reported the cold water sooner! So rude and disrespectful. The fact that they were working on the hot water tank while we we talk did not matter to him. He just wanted to not give me my money back. They are new owners and customer service they don’t understand. We have family in Walker who will now NEVER give that Motel a recommendation. I had just returned from Vietnam and Cambodia and this Motel was far worse than anything I stayed in over there and Africa. 10. The photo I posted shows that even your information is not protected or private! It is out in public and not put away!

Old time hotel things are only like twelve units. Parked right in front of the room. The heaters were wall heaters. It was like a blast from the seventies, but I really enjoyed it as the properties and a beautiful part of the country. Made me almost feel like I was a kid again. Remembering my vacations with my parents. Help me enjoy my time with the special friend

Well maintained. Unique. Old but well kept.

The main room entrance doors are basically interior doors. Hollow. Bathrooms are clean but older bathtubs.

Great location. Quiet. Clean rooms.

Very cold when we arrived, and bathroom never warmed up. Not enough towels or pillows.
