The price

Always taking your best shot at finding a decent place to stay when booking online. Whether it's one night or 4, there's always that chance it looks better online than it is in life. At first glance this place wasn't the best but was only going to be there 1 night so check in I did. Oh my! Looks can be deceiving. This place was inviting, cute, quaint, friendly staff and clean. Even being located on hwy 99, it was quiet. Spacious rooms with a desk and chair, ottoman, comfy beds with just as nice pillows, soft bathroom towels with a few toiletries. No ice bucket so assumed no ice machine and didn't see a vending machine. Small table and chairs outside for a cup of Joe or to have a smoke. Small mats in front of every door to wipe your feet. Clean parking lot. Rules to stay by. Deposit required and refunded if the room is still intact and no issues. Convenient location for eateries, grocery stores, gyms. Room door doesn't auto lock. Remember to use key! Welcoming.

1 small trash can in the room. Gap between door and door jam, double check for door to be locked and closed.

The front desk person was kind and polite. The key we were given for our room was an old fashioned metal key on a fob with room number on it. Any previous guests could have made a copy. For that reason alone we did not feel safe. The parking lot was clean. It’s an old fashioned motel type building. The room was dark and there was grime on doors and light-switches. We used our Clorox wipes and cleaned. There were burn marks around toilet, bathtub and sink. The floors and baseboards did not look clean. The beds and bedding appeared clean and neatly made. There were no clothes hangers, no ironing board and no iron. The neighborhood did not feel very safe.

Room was updated, and very nice and clean. Staff was very polite. The only thing I was a bit set back on was that their dumpster was overflowing and there was trash that was was in and out of bags off to the side of it along with an appliance and beds. That area really needs cleaned up.

Room cramped at base of bed and between desk, odd layout. Did not return security deposit, will not provide receipt, and will not allow me to discuss with a manager.
