I had an issue upon arrival, as I was told that I should pay in cash for the trip. I was sent outside to an ATM and could not access any money, as the machine was empty. While on the cruise, I was told I would be sent a link to pay via credit card. The internet connection was quite poor, and I was having difficulties paying the bill.

There was a lot of wasted food. We did ask for vegetarian options, but found that a lot of this was deep-fried food, with little fresh vegetable options until the final day.

There was little relaxation time. Very structured.

Beautiful cabin with spacious balcony and bathroom. Nice deck area to relax. Beautiful meals. Good variety of excursions. Cruise company provide a very comfortable and reliable transfer between Hanoi and the dock which I would highly recommend. All staff very friendly and professional.

Not the company's fault but some excursions are ridiculously crowded due to the sheer numbers of day visitors to Halong Bay. Hardly any storage space in cabin for clothes

"Victory Star no stars"

The roof top bar was nice place to chill

The wifi didn't work the entire trip. The oil doesn't get changed so all their fried food is soggy. The rooms are much smaller than the pictures appear, and the beds are rock hard like concrete. There was loud engine noise that affects about 6 cabins the whole trip. They don't provide any choice in meals. You get what you get. Which is outrageous for the price. Reminded me of being on a school camp. Glad it was just one night.

"Fantastic 3 day 2 night cruise on the victory star."

Great size boat for about 40 people.5 star for rooms staff and food which was incredible.Very organised with several trips each day.We did the 3 day, 2 night trip which was really worthwhile as we went to another much quieter bay and visited a pearl farm. Thank you to all the amazing staff.An incredible 3 days and 2 nights. The food was superb.Thanks to the chef.
