"Besser geht es nicht"

10.0

Einfach alles.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming B&B. The room was spotless, the food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. The owner is incredibly kind and gentle, and also an amazing photographer! My husband and I truly enjoyed our time here. If you’re planning a visit to the onsen town, we highly recommend staying here. There is a convenient shuttle bus right outside the train station. Just let the driver know you are going to Morizuya, and they will take you directly there. When it is time to leave, the owner will kindly drive you back to the train station. The transportation arrangement was very easy and convenient.

"Fantastic Experience with Morizuya"

10.0

Morizuya is a beautiful and well taken care of family owned Ryokan. Very comfortable rooms with many amenities are provided. The hospitality is top notch. Rooms are kept very clean as well as the whole property. The two private hot spring rooms are a very nice amenity and kept clean for guests. Location is perfect, in the middle of town near all the shops and other onsens. We had no issue finding Morizuya when we arrived. The owner is a superb host and ensures everything goes smoothly for guests. He makes sure to provide all information you could need. He also drove us to the train station in the morning and offered to take photos of us! We saw a beautiful tea ceremony from the owners mother shortly after check in too. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. All courses were presented nicely and tasted great. We appreciated the time and care taken to create the tasty meals. Overall every part of our stay at Morizuya was positive and we are beyond happy with choosing to stay here. Our expectations were exceeded and we would highly recommend staying at Morizuya!

Nothing, everything was great.

"Perfect location for a traditional Japanese experience!"

10.0

Staff was super welcoming and sweet, I loved interacting with every member of the family! Kinosaki Onsen is a beautiful town and the Ryokan's location was right next one of the public onsens and not far walk from the others. We were also able to use the private outdoor onsen onsite at the Ryokan which we loved

Food was alright, tasty but not outstanding. I would recommend getting one, either the breakfast or dinner, so you can get the Japanese traditional food service once and then eat out at a local store for the other

The location was fabulous for exploring Kinosaki and convenient to visit the two rated onsens by reviewers nearby. Surrounded by shops and around the corner from the waterway, the place has a quaint old feel. If you are shy, Morizuya has its own private onsens, however. I did not use this facility as I preferred the larger onsens. The staff were polite and the manager was very helpful and friendly - he was able to converse in English. MORIZUYA offers a free tea ceremony experience on arrival and the lady was so kind to take photos for me. The hotel provides a yukata and basket for onsen, and a nicer kimono one for strolling around the streets in. The Manager also was kind enough to take photos for me around the bridge area and offered a luggage transfer to the train station so I could explore a little more before leaving. Try out their dinner for one night if you would like to try a little of everything food wise. Great for solo travellers.

"Amazing in all respects — service, space, location, food, onsens."

10.0

Amazing in every respect. The location is as central as it gets, right on the canal, between one and eight minutes from each of the six public bathhouses in town. You step outside in yukata and everything is right there. The cave bath is the best onsen I’ve had in Japan. In the evenings it’s private, locked from inside. In the cave bath beautiful dark rocks form the walls and ceiling. The kaiseki dinners were extraordinary. Too many dishes to count. Kinosaki was nearly cut from my trip. I’m very glad it wasn’t, and Morizuya is a big part of why.

"Amazing!"

10.0

The best accommondation in my Japan trip! This was truly an experience I will not forget. Staff were amazing, yukata wear beautiful, my room was great, tea ceremony was beautiful, dinner and breakfast were well thought and grand. Onsen pass and the private onsens were so good and tattoo friendly so I could actually enjoy my first onsen! I really appreciated that this ryokan had a single room. I regret not booking this for longer and only stayed for one night. I will definitely come back here if I can travel to Japan again.
