Another wonderful stay in this gem of a tranquil beauty. Relaxing, peaceful the perfect couples retreat, the stunning weather a welcomed bonus. Glorious outside yet lovely and cool in the yurt. Hot tub amazing for an evening dip. Staff and host delightful and informative.

With countryside locations comes pesky horse flies and gnats, so remember to take a bug repellent candle and sprays for outdoor activities… but that is nature and doesn’t take anything away from the wonderful stay and stunning location if you go prepared.

Absolutely a gem of a place Private garden with hottub surrounded by nature everyone was so friendly and made us feel part of the family. Amazing views from the lookout tower with beautiful sunsets to see

The yurt itself was fantactic. Once it was warmed it stayed very warm. We like the wood burning stove although after the yurt had warmed up we didn't light this again as the yurt became very warm. The bed was very comfortable and we also enjoyed the hot tub. The local pub was very close and the food served was fabulous and a fair price. TIP you need to book early to get a table.

This is a working farm so so we were thoughfully taken to the yurt on a golf buggy with our belongings in a little trailer. Unfortunately the trailer was uncovered and only about 8" deep, it was raining hard and the field was very, very muddy and rucked. As soon as we set out accross the field all our belongings bounced out of the trailer into the mud (twice). There was no way to clean them so some of our clothies, including pjamas were muddy all weekend. This same field had to be crossed again to go anywhere so mud was a real problem all weekend. We kept separate shoes to go from the yurt to the toilet/shower cabin but even these quickly became very muddy. If it was not raining we removed these when entering the toillet/shower cabin otherwise that floor became covered with mud too but as it rained a lot we had to take our muddy boots/footwear into the cabin with us and then clean the floor on exiting because the cabin was tiny and if the floor became muddy then this was not ideal if trying to have a shower. The sink in the toilet/shower cabin was just a slim, shallow hand basin so we had to wash in the kitchen sink in the yurt. There was no cold water in the toilet/shower cabin so we had to clean our teeth in the kitchen sink too. This wasn't a huge problem because due to the mud issue, we avoided going out the to toilet/shower cabin if possible however the kitchen sink plug was not tight enough to hold the water so having a wash was challenging. We only used the shower before and after going in the hot tub because the water pressure was not great, the cabin was tiny and a bit chilly and it was difficult to keep the floor clean in there as described. Some thought should be given to providing a path to the yurt - even if this was just laid with bark chippings - to try and alleviate the mud issue because if anything avoidable spoiled our stay, it was the mud.
