Paihia Star Motel

Close to the main town, but not in the busy area. Comfortable room with all the essentials provided.

The room was hot on the evening. We have to keep the aircon open before we sleep

The shower needs handrails for the elderly. The shower needs a larger anti slip mat, otherwise an exellent shower Teapot needs replacing (won't pour properly)

A very warm welcome by the host (retired teacher). Spacious room with kitchenette, dining tabel and sofa. 3 places to sleep: 1x2 and 1x1 bed. A nice Breakfast to start the day was excellent (and upon request 30 minutes earlier).

It is very convenient location to go out and do activities. And the breakfast was superb. 10 out of 10 for the hospitality by the host.

It was nothing which we would say we didn't like it. Whole stay was just exceptional.

Trevor was very welcoming and provided a lovely breakfast each morning. Good location close to beach and restaurants.

Accommodation a little dated but very clean.

Trevor, the host, was very friendly and the rooms were exactly as we expected from the pictures....clean, comfortable, spacious and with excellent facilities. The location was excellent being close to the beach and not near noisy bars/restuarants. It's only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the centre of the town.

Having a choice of breakfast would have been nice. Each morning we were given what the host decided we were having. On one occasion there was an omelette and you didn't know what was inside until you cut it open. Don't get me wrong, the food was lovely it's just that there was no choice.

An older property but looked after very well. Trevor welcomed us on arrival and told us everything we needed to know and answered any questions we had. We spent two nights and wished we had more time.Paihia is a quaint and beautiful little town in the Bay of Islands. The motel was within very easy walking distance of the town with several resort choose from. The included breakfast was phenomenal and served right to our door right at the chosen time. We highly recommend Paihia Star Motel for value and a wonderful stay. It was well appointed, clean and friendly and the beds most comfortable! Thank you Trevor!!!
