Camping Pods, Birchington Vale Holiday Park

Great location, lovely pods, friendly staff!

Pods are clean and have nice touches like reading lights for each bed. They are light and airy.

It was particularly warm one night and the pod does take time to cool down. I would take a fan if it was really hot.

A nice site and the pods were very clean and comfortable. A good number of facilities on site. Despite only 3 or 4 toddlers being on site at the time, the entertainment team were great and had lots of energy and enthusiasm - if it weren't for them - we would have left and made several complaints. Staff were great and very attentive and polite.

You can only check in at 15:00pm but the swimming pool closes at 15:30 for school groups - despite the closing time stating 16:00 (so don't think you can swim on the first day after a long journey). So disappointing for our 3 and 5 year olds as the playground was also shut due to a sewage leak (so nothing for our toddlers to do except go on the arcades for a few hours which isn't ideal at that age. I felt that this place was really let down by central policy and some rather silly head office rules - we unfortunately will not be visiting again because of this.

Restaurant not open til 9am for breakfast, would be nice to be earlier

Perfectly situated for concert in margate

Staff kept phoning me and leaving messages to check I was having a good time. Please don't. it's disrupting when you're trying to relax.
