Tenorio Lodge

Breakfast outside watching the wonderful birds coming to eat the bananas that were left outside for them. The room was really big, it isn't just a room but a small apartment with huge bathroom and amazing views. We had dinner in the Lodge every night as they had a nice variety and it was delicious. Our server was absolutely amazing, great people.

The jacuzzis were just warm not hot enough. The rooms are floor level and in a very jungle-like setting that is beautiful but if you don't like insects or small animals be ready to see bats outside the room, sometimes ants are inside. Everything is very clean but that is unavoidable.

El lugar es hermosisimo, las cabañas son maravillosas, los jardines estan muy bien cuidados, la comida es muy rica, la tranquilidad del entorno hacen que se vean muchas aves y la amabilidad y simpatía de la anfitriona hacen que el lugar sea extremadamente acogedor.

Que solo pudimos quedarnos una noche,hubiera deseado quedarnos mas!

Eine sehr schöne Anlage, sehr gepflegt und die Bungalows sind sehr schön angelegt.

Look out stations at ponds were closed off.

Lovely grounds set up for bird watching and even saw the endangered Tapir. In the dining patio is a bird feeding area that brings many types of birds that is fun and relaxing to watch. The breakfast included was wonderful. We ate there most evenings and it was very good and reasonably priced. The rooms are very comfortable and pretty with amazing views of the jungle. The staff is very attentive and helpful. if. you are looking for a great relaxing place this is it.

We stayed a week and it was a bit longer then needed to explore the area, more like 5-days would have been better. The small town close by has what you need but limited.

Beautiful setting, quiet, lovely rooms, delicious breakfast

The rooms were too hot without AC except in the evening/night, when they cooled down nicely. While too hot inside, there were private outdoor patios to sit at and there is a main deck with chairs that has great birdwatching.

Good location inbetween 2 volcanoes, convenient for hikes. Very friendly staff. Lots of wildlife in grounds. Common terrace conducive to meeting other travellers and viewing wildlife.

Lodge was incredibly hot with poor aircon. Food was average.
