Tenorio Lodge

The perfect spot to have a beautiul nature and great people around you. We saw monkeys and a tapir and enjoyed a delicious breakfast with homemade bread. The owner and the staff were always helpful and caring thank you so much

The breakfast was excellent and all of the staff were very friendly.

The room definitely needed more lighting. With only a light on the ceiling, the room was very dull.

The breakfast was excellent, with a plate of a variety of fresh fruit every morning.

The lighting in the room was poor. A light on a table between or near the bed/beds would have been nice.

Sehr freundliches Personal und persönliche Betreuung. Hübsches Bungalow mit Aussicht auf den Tenorio und in den Regenwald. Kleine Anlage mit eigenen Senderos und Jacuzzi. Zum Abendessen sind 3 Menus verfügbar, was okay war.

Bett war tendenziell zu hart und ggf. ist die Bettwäsche mit Polyester Anteil. Da die Luftfeuchtigkeit sehr hoch ist schwitzt man eher mehr.

I loved walking the trails every morning to see wildlife before breakfast. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning, fresh and local while we looked out at the birds.

Beds were a little flat and firm. We asked the host for a second pillow and that made it better.

The location and the grounds of the hotel are fabulous with lots of wildlife and walking trails. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and they have a full bar and dining opportunities.

The rooms whilst clean and comfortable, did look a little tired and could do with a refresh in places

This lodge is a labour of love for the owner/operator, who is committed to saving tapirs. The property is very large, and there are many short hikes that allow you to see all kinds of animals, including tapirs, monkeys, coaties, and many many birds, including toucans. You'll see more animals on the property than in the surrounding national park.

The bar fridge in our room wasn't working, and it took some convincing to get it replaced (it was, in the end). We needed that for our special diet. Also, the hot tubs (which were very nice and clean) were only tepid and couldn't be made warmer.
