PS Federal Retreat Paddle Steamer Goolwa

So unique. The peacefulness. No neighbours other than swans. Much warmer inside than we expected. Comfy bed.

Bit of a lean but as it’s on stilts rather than the water, it was much better than being on the choppy river. It’s basic in terms of facilities - no microwave or big screen tv and it is a rustic experience. But it’s what it says it is.

The view and the house are amazing

Breakfast very good and plenty of food. Appreciated the bottle of wine too. Comfortable beds and also lounges. Location great. Views splendid

Unfortunately the toilet was partially blocked, and the drainage into the bathroom from the shower water came up from drain. Couldn't get heater to work.

Peaceful location. Friendly helpful host.

Quirky, comfortable bed

Came back late and didn't put heating on so cold. If spent more time there wouldn't have been an issue

So lovely to be on the lake and seeing the bird life
