Setilas Bungalows

The area of the bungalows was very nice and picturesque. The bungalows themselves were spacious, relatively comfy, and clean. Always able to get water from the front desk and the staff was lovely. Always helped when we needed to book taxis. The beach club near by is very nice.

The location was hard to access on foot, as wasn’t much around but Nusa Penida doesn’t have many attractions. Bungalows got hot despite the AC, bathroom whilst clean had a rusting shower head and limescale. The room was very dim even with the lights on, some bedside lamps would be great.

We had a good time. The owner Kadek is very helpful and and helps you with booking taxis and tours. The bungalow is welcoming and in the garden there is a beautiful peaceful atmosphere and at night you can see lots of stars. The breakfast pancake was delicious.

The scooter's headlights were not very powerful and since many roads on the island are rough and without lighting it is safer to return home before dark. Attention: if Google maps suggests arriving at the bungalows via the interior of the island, it is better to go through the port.

Basically everything. The place is beautiful and clean, the staff is amazing and helpful and friendly, super focused on the customer and his stay. They also provide a breakfast service that is cheap and really good, with big portions. Really good value for money. The location, which has a good and a bad side, is really calm and you’ll enjoy the silence and tranquillity of the place.

The only thing I didn’t completely like was the location, as I said before it has its goods and bads. The bad thing is the property is not connected to any restaurants or shops or ATMs, so you need a scooter or a taxi to get to shops or ATMs and you need to walk on a street that I didn’t felt completely safe on to get to any kind of warung/restaurant. If you have a scooter you’ll have no problems at all.

Friendly staff. Rented a scooter which was good. Organised transport to and from port for us. The bed was comfortable. Good budget accommodation - basic but pretty good considering the price. Near yummy restaurants and beach clubs.

Shower drain was bad. A little far from most attractions on the other side of island so hire a scooter and prepare for a ride!! No mosquito net.

Private and intimate feeling, helpful staff, comfortable room, fast wifi.

Some towels were yellow, some metal fixtures such as the towel rack were rusty, tv was not working, lights were not particularly bright

Super nice host, felt like visiting a friend who just cares about you. Whatever you needed, you could WhatsApp the owner and she will try to help you out. Clean and comfortable room. Two hammocks to chill in the small garden. Right next door are two cool places: chill and cactus. So even if you are far on the east end of the island, these two spots make up for being far from everything else.

It was a bit far from all the rest of the island but that was our choice.

• The breakfast was really good. We chose banana pancakes, and they were delicious. The place had potential for a pleasant stay. The garden is nice, and it looks just like in the pictures. • They offered a ride to the port, although it was expensive according to a local taxi driver that I met. • They gave us one free bottle of water.

- Our stay was ruined when we found bedbugs, leaving us with bites all over our bodies. We couldn’t sleep well due to the discomfort and anxiety from the bites. When we informed the owner, she sprayed insecticide and gave us ointment but didn’t believe us. She claimed the bites were from ants, suggested we brought the bedbugs in, blamed our long hair, and even insinuated that it was because we didn’t shower (which we did). She said we were the first ones to complain about it, which was very frustrating and insulting. Because before staying there, we hadn’t encountered any problems with bedbugs, and it was our first time experiencing bites, so there was no way we could have brought them in. - The power went out for a bit. - The room was too dark, but that’s normal it most bungalows. -The location was far from everything, but It was not an issue for us since we were aware of it beforehand. - There was a dog in the patio with a bad skin condition, which was quite off-putting and sad to see.
