Great staff, excellent shower pressure and room to move around unit.

Close to main road but that is what ear plugs are for!

Excellerant clean motel

The main road outside the property is very noisy with trucks during the night. Ask/ book a unit further back from the road if you're a light sleeper

"We had an amazing stay at Flaxbourne Motel in Ward, NZ. The property is super clean, comfortable, and exceptionally well looked after by the owner. The outdoor sitting area is fantastic, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. It's also conveniently close to Ward Boulders and Ward Beach, making it a perfect spot for exploring the area. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend it!"

The unit was very clean and was very comfortable. I would highly recommend the motels to anyone. Beds were very comfortable perhaps too comfortable made for a really good night's sleep. The unit was well presented very clean with everything in it that you would need.

There was nothing to dislike

The unit was spacious and comfortable. There was plenty of room to cook a meal which was a good job because there aren't any restaurants nearby.

I thought it'd be noisy near the road as the SH1 runs right past. TBF considering the closeness of the road, the units are unexpectedly quiet. We were the second unit in and I had a surprisingly good night's sleep but it could be difficult for light sleepers.

Location off the ferry en route to Christchurch. Staff happy to accommodate a late arrival by putting plan in place. Bed and facilities comfy.
