Hi-Lo Motel, Cafe and RV Park Mount Shasta Area

Shower smelled bad. Maybe it was because it was moldy. It got worse when it was running water. The water smelled bad. I didn't shower the second night because I wanted to avoid the water.

Cafe onsite and great food. The big trucks in the main road shook the ground, so other than that its very clean, staff cordial and easy access to the freeway.

Stayed here for a night during a trip to Mt Shasta area. It was priced lower than most other places , so was a good choice, as we only needed a place to sleep for the night. The staff was friendly, room was clean, though a little bit outdated. Its next to the freeway, so a good choice for people passing through.

New ownership has ruined a good affordable place. Restaurant which they own ruined as well. Keep driving to a better location.

The room was decent. It did not have a fridge, so I had to throw out my yogurt. But there are several gas stations and restaurants nearby. A cute little town with a good view of Mount Shasta. Parking is tight.

Quality for the money.

On a hot day, the room was well air conditioned.

At first I thought this place had some old time road trip charm. The back rooms are across from a small creek. However, the guests next-door were very loud and it seemed like the rooms were paper thin. This really changed my perception and I probably wouldn’t stay here again. They laughed and giggled until two in the morning and we were getting up early at 5:30 AM to do a hike. So not ideal due to the guest, but that is beyond the control of the hotel. The person who checked us in was very nice and I really got a good vibe from this old time hotel but it just didn’t work out for us.

The hotel is conveniently located right off the highway. However, I found the hotel itself to be lacking in upkeep and overall cleanliness. Additionally, I made several room cleaning requests and while the front desk staff was friendly and responsive, the requests were never followed up on. The area around the ice dispenser was filthy, with trash strewn on the floor for at least a week.
