Cafe Cerisier栖里時絵

Honest review. The place is old and could definitely use a complete make over. However, it is fun as a "family" style ryokan, with shared onsen, communual breakfast each morning, and an elderly couple that do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. It is not flash but it is warm and comfy.

The onsen desperately needs an overhaul but does the job.

Ma & pop were wonderful hosts. The onsen was hot steamy and relaxing - perfect after a day on the snow. The breakfast was amazing & substantial- eggs ham toast croissants & yoghurt with fruit.

The traditional Japanese beds were a little too firm for us. The shuttle bus was unreliable (1/2 cancelled remainder were slow) but they booked a taxi for us which was cheaper and on time

Die sehr freundlichen Gastgeber und das schöne Frühstück. Es gab immer extra Sachen , kleine Kuchen, Obst etc.

Love the onsen in the house, and the warmth of the host. The location is very central within Myoko, with most things just within 10 mins drive away. The room was comfortable for a traditional Japanese home.

Building is a little old but still very cosy. The old couple takes care of the place to their best abilities, while still keeping prices very affordable.
