Yoshimatsu

The lovely staff doing everything they can to make the stay as comfortable as possible. From greeting us and taking care of our (quite large) luggage a few hours before check-in, recommending lunchspots and walking trails, to waving us goodbye in the Rain as their driver drove us to the nearby bus stop. The staff also kindly serves you tea and a cookie while checking in, guides you around the premisse, and helps out fitting your yukata. They serve dinner in your room (which is more like a small apartment) and converts your livingroom into a bedroom while you enjoy a lovely multi-course meal. They then serve breakfast and take your luggage before you check out. Leaving some room to enjoy the calming atmosphere of your room before you leave. The food was amazing, and the in-room onsen was everything I hoped for, and more. I'll recommend Yoshimatsu to anyone looking to experience a tranquil retreat, amazing food, and an extremely caring staff. It was beyond all of our expectations.

Splendido giardino e autentica struttura tradizionale giapponese mantenuta molto bene. Presenza sia di onsen pubblico sia di onsen privato in camera. La cena kaiseki è stata un’esperienza molto interessante e raffinata; il menù varia ogni mese in base alla stagionalità degli ingredienti. Colazione abbondante e completamente giapponese: non aspettatevi una classica colazione occidentale, ma una colazione a base di pesce, riso e altri piatti tipici. Tutte le portate sono preparate con grande cura da chef di alto livello. L’hotel fornisce numerosi abiti tradizionali giapponesi, inclusi diversi yukata (sia per la cena e le passeggiate all’interno della struttura, sia per dormire), oltre a ciabatte e altri accessori. Ottimo anche il kit per la cura della pelle e dei capelli, composto da prodotti di altissima qualità.

Pur disponendo di un onsen e di un giardino privati, dal nostro onsen era possibile sentire chiaramente gli ospiti della stanza accanto mentre usavano il loro.

Auch die Verabschiedung - Essen sehr japanisch (wir liebten es) Frühstück auch sehr japanisch - Onsen (Öffentlich & Privat) ein Traum super Erholung - Anlage wunderschön mit Blick auf den Fuji - Betten bequem wir haben klassisch Futon am Boden. - Shuttle vom Hotel bringt einen direkt zum See runter aber man kann auch schnell zu fuß laufen.

Food was wonderful but many courses and very filling.

If any mobility issues, don't book Japanese style beds. Very hard for old folks to negotiate. Very accessible to Lake and activities. We had rain but still a pleasant day. Sadly, didn't manage to see Fuji.

Everything: good location, peaceful, clean, exceptional service, extra friendly staff and delicious food. Of course, the onsen facilities were excellent.
