Lovely hidden gem!!! Checked in with Todd, he was very friendly and helpful.

Nothing left at the continental breakfast table at 8:30am, with another hour+ left for stated breakfast availability.

"It is an oldie but goody if you like things that are less sterile than many modern motels."

Maine Idyll offers an opportunity to experience the classic Maine motor court. It is a collection of old-fashioned cabins that have been refurbished with older unique furnishings and art. It was clean and comfortable, reasonably priced, AND allows pets for a reasonable price. It even offers a tiny but tasty breakfast buffet. It is directly outside of Freeport for L.L.Bean fans.

It suffers from the noise from 295, which I believe was built after the Maine Idyll cabins. The road noise is loud, outside, but minimal inside, at least in Cabin 8, where we stayed.

"Comfortable beds and good location."

The location was really convenient on our way up north. The manager was friendly and helped with extension cords. Also, they offered a nice continental breakfast.

No outlets in one bedroom…and only one in the other. Musty odor. There was a fan and lamp in the room I stayed in, but no outlets. Needs updated amenities.

"Such a wonderful place to go for a vacation"

It was a wonderful time. My family enjoyed staying in the cabin. It reminded us of vacations we had as children with our aunt and uncle. Would definitely go back again.
