Palm Tropics Motel

This little motel is a throwback to the 1950s, with about a dozen rooms and a nicely planted garden. It's not fancy at all, but it's clean and the rooms are spacious. It appears to be family run (though I'm not sure), but the people who staff the front desk are friendly and helpful. We've stayed here many times because it's close to family and it's not expensive for a multiple-night stay. This place could be spruced up into a true 1950s gem (the great old neon sign apparently blew down a year or two ago, for instance), but then the cost would go up. So take it as it is and imagine yourself on Route 66 in the days when it was the fastest road to Chicago. This isn't a Hyatt or even a Best Western, but it's a fine place to sleep.

The toilet ran continuously. We reported this, and hopefully this plumbing problem will be addressed for future guests. Probably 75-year-old plumbing.

The shower needs a bath matt because the shower was very slipper to a take a shower becasuse it very easy to slip and fall

No breakfast served just coffee it was a great experience bed firm lots of pillows plump the way I like bathroom was a good size hot water comes out right away sink and shower wall /ac &heater works real well kept me warm the whole night highly recommend
