Very cosy, lots of lovely scenery and great walking routes. We were given a very warm welcome from James, (and Perdy!) who showed us where everything was and how to use the facilities. The hut was very clean and welcoming, everything was easy to find and use. Plenty of firewood and kindling/fire starters we’re provided, enough (for us) for the whole weekend. Lots of great areas around the hut for various activities such as the picnic bench was great for crafts and eating dinner outside. Almost everything needed for the stay was provided except things you’d be expected to provide for yourself.

Nothing comes to mind at all, we really enjoyed it!

We loved everything about the shepheards hut! From the moment we arrived greeted by the amazing hosts who roomed us and showed us around the stunning property. The location and views are perfect for the countryside and a charming place that we will be returning to! An excellent weekend I recommend to anyone who loves wildlife too. There were 0 faults, you should visit here!!

I wished we had more time off work to stay in the property longer!

The property was fantastic everything I wanted it to be quite mainly of grid low signal communication so was good to have a couple of days of screen free time

"A little piece of Heaven in the hills"

Everything! Idyllic location. Many places take cleverly angled pictures to make their property look more secluded.. But this one is exactly what it says! The owners are warm and welcoming as are the resident dogs! It's not glamping as described, but it certainly isn't slumming it either. You have everything you could possibly need. It is a great location to get to places too. We went on our motorbike which is a great way to see the countryside. We can't wait to go back. ☺️☺️☺️
