Kampung Meno Bungalows

We had a wonderful stay at Kampung Meno. Silvie is an amazing host and the familiar vibe of the Bungalows is mesmerizing. Very kind and attentive staff and the Bungalows are clean and comfortable. I doubt you will find a better place to stay in Meno for this price! Thank you again for everything Silvie and we will definitily come back one day☺️

Nice environment and lovely staff. The room is very clean and they have nice breakfast.

Even though we didn’t have a bad stay we would like to mention few things. The mosque is very close to the place so be ready to wake up at 4.30 for half an hour. Our bungalow didn’t have aircon, just 2 fans, I do understand that this was my fault choosing the wrong room but when I did my research I filtered aircon places and this one came up so I just trusted the information and didn’t realise about the name of the room, just followed the pictures that BTW, they don’t match with the room and the description which mentions the aircon but I think it is a general description. Avoid this room, seriously, it’s an oven and the 2 fans are not enough, outside was better than inside. Pictures also show a very green place but it is not, I don’t think this comment can be very relevant because the place is still nice but it matters to me to be surrounded by green nature. Salty water for the shower, it is not mention when you book so it was a surprise, it is not the end of the world but important for us because we took the last shower until we get home after 20 hours travelling. The staff is lovely, no doubt, they offered their help to arrange transport but the price is double than at the harbour so my advice is to get it when you arrive, from Bangsal to the airport you can get it for 250k IDR

What a gem of a retreat—so creatively & artistically thought out, all under the charming expert management of host Sylvie & her super team. Comfy, clean, lush & blessed with a talented kitchen staff, however long you stay won’t be enough. Well-located center island, it’s a short walk to pretty much anywhere. Plenty of good tips from Sylvie & crew. Recommend 100%.

nothing attractive about this accommodation

old crappy shack. terible broken shower with no pressure and sea salt whater running. woke up from the heat as AC went dow due to electricity cut off (no gemerators) and from noise from the local children of the staff. They did not clean the room during the whole stay!! no kettles in the room, nowhere to hang the clothes/no closet. basically. Depressive old huts that are forgotten by the owners.. the staff wattering the whole area few times a day (God knows why) creating mud everywhere (more mess coming in)

I really wanted to like this accommodation as I loved Gili Meno but in the end i could not. But i have to say the staff is fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Also the fried rice i got for take away was the best i've had in Bali yet.

Unfortunately the accommodation did not feel worth the price. All the bungalows are close together facing the restaurant. Although guests are quiet, it doesnt invite you to sit on your terrace. On top of that the setting is not very pretty with a garden that is mainly sand . The bungalow itself is dark. Which would be ok, but all the decorations and even the bed sheets are dark (and the still they look old and discoloured) the moquito net has stains and the curtains on the window are thin. None of these are big problems, but put together they just don't justify the price. But if you are looking for a quiet get away that feels a little like travelling back in time, do go to Gili Meno!

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They kindly gave as an extra fan for our room which made it a lot more comfortable. The wifi was very good and the pool was a nice bonus. We also rented bikes from them for a good price. The free breakfast was the best we have had in Lombok! It was amazing.

Even with the fan out room was still hot so I would recommend spending extra to book a room with air-conditioning. The water system uses ground water which is salty, but they are already in the process of replacing it with fresh water.

Everything! The staff are amazing, we had Bali belly when we arrived, and they were so considerate and helpful. They got us back on our feet quicker than expected. The food at the restaurant is really nice, although it is a bit more expensive than on other parts of the island. The room had everything we needed and the pool was nice. Everything is also very well kept, they are on top of keeping everything nice, clean and pretty. Their English is also very good, so it is easy to communicate and to get tips on where to spot turtles etc (less than a 5 minute walk!). Definitely recommend this place, and if we ever go back to Gili Meno, we are coming back here!

The shower is a bit salty, which does not dry out your skin but tastes weird. However, there is no fresh water on the island so that will be the same for every place. The mosque next door is quite loud when doing the calls of prayer, so that's something to be mindful of when potentially booking. For us, the benefits far exceeded these minor inconveniences.
