Meno Charm

We really enjoyed our stay here! The room was very cosy and clean. The A/C worked very well too. The location is really lovely, you’re in amongst the locals who are ever so friendly.

There was a problem with the water supply during our stay but we were given fresh drinking water by the host, so that resolved the issue in terms of handwashing and teeth brushing for the short time we were there, but the toilet cistern did not refill to flush. I believe this is an issue the owner is proactively working to resolve.

Where to start? We walked into this dirt field to check in, and someone came from the nearby shacks assist. The bedroom looked ok. The yard in front was just dirt, not Sandy. The bathroom was definitely water damaged and mouldy. We took a shower and noticed it was salty and had issues and asked if they could fix the hot water. The lady said "sorry, it is broken". I asked for how long had it been broke, and she said she didn't know... No plans to fix. We flushed the toilet, but the water kept running. A staff had turned off the water when we left, but didn't tell us. He told us we need to turn off the water each time after we flush. I told him the toilet was not flushing, and he told me I needed to open up the toilet lid and move the parts around on the back to get it to flush each time, and then turn it off... This had obviously been a long time issue they had no plans to fix, as the floor was rotten. I got out of the shower and almost fell through the floor. I told the host, and she laughed at it. That night, we saw the staff again and complained about the water again, and he told me I needed to call the owner to complain, because there is nothing he can do, and he said he had told the owner, and they did not want to fix it. After going out for the night, when I came back, I immediately noticed they had turned off the water again. I could not wash my dirty feet, wash my hands, wash my face, brush my teeth, take a shower, or even flush the toilet. We had one night on the island, and we had to spend it feeling gross because they turned off the water without telling us, and there was no one around to turn it back on. In the morning, I took a shower, and it ran out of water mid shower. I had to go out in my towel and complain again. The host came to collect the money and we told her we would not be paying. She called the owner, and the owner tried to say it was an island wide issue about not having the water, and it was not their fault..

In general it was clean. Location was good. It's a small island, you can do everything by walking. The seating area outside is nice. Breakfast was simple but good. Most of the personnel was friendly.

The room is very very small, with just a little space around the bed. Pillows are thin and uncomfortable. The room had an unpleasant, unhealthy smell (like moldy), but that seems to be a problem in a lot of Indonesian accomodations. The airconditioner leaked. There was no water when we were there. We were informed before we came that there was a problem with the water supplier and they couldn't host us, but we already booked our transport there. So they would prepare a bucket to wash. Other places didn't seem to have a problem with running water. They told us the day before we left that it was working again, but only brown water came out and then nothing again.

This place was one of the newer places we have stayed in SE Asia the bathroom was very modern and clean which is a nice change, the room was small but it was cosy, the guys at Meno Suites were great and breakfast was delicious.

No real complaints other than the bed duvet, ( I wouldn’t really call it a duvet ) it was a small sheet which wasnt ideal.

For us Meno Charm was the perfect base from which to explore Gili Meno. The room was clean, comfortable and functional. Being situated in the centre of the island meant you could get anywhere with ease, especially on one of the rentable bikes. The staff were brilliant, so kind and accommodating, we will genuinely miss seeing them whilst enjoying our delicious breakfast. We liked the room so much we extended our stay by 4 nights! If you are a couple looking for an affordable, place that has everything you need on Gili Meno I highly doubt you will be disappointed!

Modern and clean, even though rooms are small they are comfortable. Nice breakfast area (a few mins walk away from the actual rooms). Good location easy walk to beach and harbour.

No hot water in shower. More variety of fruit at breakfast would be good as they offer a fruit juice and fruit platter.

very friendly and welcoming staff, the place is located in a very quiet and relaxing area not so far from the beaches. Very good price with lovely breakfast included, Bedroom spacious and with the good services

location: it was really hard to find the property because there were no signs or anything, and when we found the place where we were staying, there was no staff and it took like extra 15minutes to find someone roosters: we woke up at 5am because of the roosters, PLEASE BRING YOUR EARPLUGS IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP THERE!!!
