This is probably the nicest place I have ever stayed in my life. I have stayed at many ryokan before and this is a step above all of them. The only issue you may have is a more modern aesthetic vs a more "traditional" rustic one. The private onsen are INSANE, breathtaking. The meals, served in room, were some of the best food I have ever had in Japan and I have been going since 2009. The Hokkawa onsen area is picturesque and the oceanside drive is scenic and amazing. This is a top tier ryokan that has redefined my idea of how good things can get.

I cannot think of a single thing that would have made my experience better. Selfishly, I guess if the server spoke more English? The price is a bit high in a vacuum, but for what you are getting it is 100% fair.

The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, and the service was truly outstanding - Japanese hospitality at its finest. I visited with my mom, and having grown up in Tokyo and stayed at many ryokans over the years, this one easily ranks among the very best.

Nothing at all, except that I wish my stay could have been longer.

The view and the facilities

可以享受一次的免费私汤和另外收费的私汤，都有很好的海景，餐食也很不错。checkin后有英语不错的专人对接服务。

部分员工英语水平比较差，checkin的规程中有一些不必要的环节浪费了时间。

It was either very well maintained or newly renovated. The hall lounge was a full glass panel which allowed you to watch the beautiful skies and sea as the sunsets. On top of that, the ryokan was position at an angle where you get to see the bright moon cast its light and shadows into the water which was so pretty.

Everything was great, sadly my subsequent ryokan stay wasn’t as nice as the Bousui. It has definitely upped my standards.

Every step was very satisfying.

There is nothing I am dissatisfied with.
