Lloyd is a very uninterested manager/chef (but kept hiding behind non existent management - There was no visible management on site). Our welcome was so nonchalant The food portions were small and unfilling even the children went bed hungry with no other options if you wanted more food. Some food was recycled the next day to force us to finish. Drinks were overpriced. Had multiple people sharing a hot flat 2L cold drink for R25 a glass. Wine was hot, ice melted fast and we were not allowed to bring our own drinks. Four cousins sweet wine, one of the cheapest around was charged R300 a bottle. There was no desert for new years and 1 small scoop of ice cream the one night. Roads were treacherous, 1 hour on the road is 2 hours. Game drive is over priced and Kruger is far, don't be fooled by the pictures. They do not facilitate any activities, nor do they have direct access to the park. There was absolutely no entertainment organized for new years. After we did our own thing only then did they offer things. Breakfast was slow, dinner was late. Pest control withing the tents was not good. Mattresses were old and brown, springs were on bed were poking at your back. Rats entered room through holes in the ceiling and was eventually covered with a plastic bag after multiple requests. Bathroom smelt of mold, mats in shower were black and old. Holes in the sheets, with dirty sheets

Very well tended camp in the bush, close to Kruger and several other game reserves. Owner Bhili and staff are very friendly, lovely people. Lloyd cooks delicious breakfast and dinner and is a thoughtfull host. The camp is solar powered so there is no problem with load shedding. Dinner is served in a traditional boma with a fire in the middle. Bhili is a great storyteller and also a very experienced guide with extensive knowledge about animals, birds and plants. The gamedrives where spectacular! The beds are very comfortable, the tents and common areas are very clean and well maintained. Remember you are in the bush in the middle of nature, keep your tent closed or you may have roommates with four or more legs!

After the difficult and adventurous drive to the camp over gravel roads we where a bit spooked because the camp is really far outside. No wifi, no restaurant or supermarket close by. The kids where also a bit scared by the animal skulls in the boma. But Bhili, Lloyd and the other staff worked really hard to make us feel welcome and well cared for. They provided everything you could need. After that we could really enjoy the peace and natural atmophere of the camp and the company of the lovely people running it. We where sad to leave.
