Basabasi Island Lodge

Anned is awesome! She is the manager and does her job with passion. She helped with everything! - the lodge helps with anything you ask: booking tours, taxi on main land, fast boat ticket. - i have a strict diet and Anned provided - have a look next to this place at The party boat. Really great food and Sunset ! - the lodge is nice and quiet but there is more times a days next to the lodge a mosk with loud prayer sounds..starting in the night.

Some tips: - choice for breakfast would be nice There is only breakfast! No lunch or dinner. - in 3 days no cleaning.. once would be nice - only 1 towel and have to ask for new one. But there was none - would be nice to have a lounge place. Eating place / Lobby is not super comfortabel to chill - bit far from city and other spots. Really need a scooter!

Location of the property is perfect. Close to view point / nice bar (Ben‘s bar) and in walking distance to the city. The staff and especially Anned were amazing (super helpful / offering cooking classes / great driver that brought me to sunset beach 😉). Breakfast was very good in quality and quantity 🙏🏻

Great place and great host. I want to say the best words about the hosts - we almost didn't manage to come at all but they helped us out. The thing is that for a foreigner it's not really possible to buy a ferry ticket to Karimunjawa - the fast boat app accepts only local credit cards and local payment options and by the time we landed in Indonesia to try the only payment option that might work - paying at the Alfamart supermarket, the tickets were sold out. The other option is the slow boat but last year they also launched a web site - also there only local payment options accepted, and you can not count on getting a ticket at the port on the day anymore (I heard that even at the port you can't pay cash and only local cards accepted). The host fixed us tickets a night before once we contacted to explain our mysery with tickets! I always travel on my own but this is the place where their help is needed, so my advice - once you book your place, contact them to help you arrange the ferry tickets, too. You pay a little extra but will avoid troubles and time-wasting on a mission impossible. They also help to rent motorbikes or bikes, also organize snorkeling tour (that is a must-do thing on the island, as well as trying the late eve fish market!). We stayed in a bigger room above the bar (that sells beer and breakfast), but it seemed quiet as there was no activity past 10pm. The bed has mosquito net, makes beautiful bed canopy, like from a film set. Overall, the place is unique and special, highly recommended!

Very clean and well maintained property. The lodge with private bathroom with your own little area in the garden was superb. We really enjoyed staying here. The owners were super helpful with arranging transportation and trips.

The breakfast staff didn’t speak English, so it was a bit hard to communicate about dietary restrictions

An oasis on Karimunjawa! The huts were great and perfect for our 4-day stay. We hired scooters for getting around the island, and they organised an amazing snorkelling trip for us. Very helpful in suggesting places to visit or booking activities. Recommend to anyone looking to stay and explore the island.
