The vibe is amazing, staff is very friendly from the moment you arrived the hotel. Their staff are very skillful that they can parking our big size car, don't be afraid to ask them to park your car. Food is amazing and all kind of varieties, and do not need to worry about the hotspring, they have so many on site.

Very family style, has a lot of onsen options, very comfortable

Rooms are not sound proofed, but it is very cozy

Incredible location with the sound of the river to help you relax, mouth watering food, friendly and helpful staff. The atmosphere is like a dream. There are something like 10+ private onsen all with their own charm and the public onsen is overlooking the river. Additionally, Fumoto Ryokan was able to mostly accommodate a vegetarian diet (dashi is always difficult.) There were private parking spots, but the public spots at the nearby police station are much more convenient to get in and out of if they are open.

If I am being super nitpicky, the room itself is rather average. The view is great and there are lots of nice little touches like heating green tea at night as incense, but in terms of the physicality of the room, it is quite small and there was some minor damage to a couple of the tatami mats. None of this detracted from the stay in any way.
