Tirtagangga Water Palace Villas

The bungalow is a beautiful, traditional style building that can be opened up on all sides. The location and view from the room are exceptional! Facilities are comfortable and the staff friendly and respectful. Support this historical water palace that has been renovated. It is located in the foothills of Mount Agung in beautiful Karangasem. Slow down and relax in beautiful surroundings.

Love the uniqueness of the location and the accomodation, also having the Palace to ourselves in the evening. The staff were very attentive, friendly, responsive, helpful and reliable with communication.

It would be a difficult to impossible stay for people with mobility issues, as the bed is up a spiral staircase on the second floor. This was not a problem for us, but should be considered.

The villlas were very unique, decorated beautifully, it really did feel like we were staying in a palace. Walking around the gardens at night and early morning before the crowds was magical

Exclusive, old, traditional indian style villa, situated inside the Tirta Gangga temple complex. I was allowed to visit the temple when it was closed for visitors. I felt like a princess. Villa is like from the previous century, decorated with indian style art.

A bit too old stylish. It would be good to add more modern amenities and to do some renovation, although the charm of the villa lies precisely in its antiquity.

We loved the location of the bungalow, it felt like the whole garden was ours. Views were magnificent. Upstairs bedroom felt amoung the tree tops even during the tropical downpour we felt quite safe. Showering outside in the marble bath, was a delight as was bathing in our own plunge pool in the clear water of the Ganges spring.

There would be some would think it was too dark inside, but 6 of the glass walls open out. There would be some who would say Staff were a little slow clearing away breakfast, or the bungalow needed a bit of an update. We loved just being left to ourselves.There would be some who would say location too far, 4 hrs from Seminyak but we had stayed on the beach front at Candi Dasa the previous few days so 45mns drive for us. To all those negative people , if you love Seminyak or big hotels just stay in Seminyak, you probably won't enjoy it.
