Tirtagangga Water Palace Villas

It's set in spectacular scenery within the water palace. At night, you get to see the water palace after it is closed to the public. Makes it extra special. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We organised transport from the airport to take us there and the manager came in person to pick us up. It's about 2.5 hrs from Denpasar. .

The proximity to be inside the palace gardens and the opportunity to stay in a piece of history Most comfy bed and to have Tirtagannga to yourself in the evening was incredible Plunge pool is great

It was musty and could do with a freshen up the breakfast could have been more substantial for the price paid per night Bring earplugs if you don’t like the sound of running water 💦

We booked for 2 rooms but one room was not available on arrival. Room was a little unhygienic

Windra and his staff were nothing but helpful. Going out of their way to make it an excellent time for us. The villas are so peaceful and magical. Both kids said it was the best place they've stayed. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

It's not a modern hotel but that's what you sign up for... once in a lifetime!

The open area in the room at night feels not safe, but it was actually nothing happened.

The peaceful location, the style and space of the accommodation was exceptional could not have asked for more the price was exceedingly reasonable. The staff were wonderful.

The breakfast could be improved.

situated actually in the water palace - two villas (Marble and Lion) - we tried both - Marble is double the size of Lion - with better bed, table seating, plunge pool - however you only need book one night at the water palace - to see the place before / after the instagramers have gone (7am - 6pm) - so Lion is adequate for half the price - NOTE on both villas the showers are weak (we took shower gel into plunge pool) and the breakfast is very basic - overall the villas were reasonable clean with the basic requirements and the staff were pleasant

make sure you arrange transport for your departure before you arrive (the local drivers will rip you off) - Lempuyang 'Gates of Heaven' are close enough to scooter or taxi (don't fall for the rip off of a guide) - also don't be tempted by the 'kings palace' (rubbish) - but the 'lontar village' is interesting (albeit minimal)
