Melaleuca Lodge Beaconsfield

The main reason for booking this motel was location. The Italian restaurant attached was excellent.

The room was dirty and was badly in need of redecoration and repair. It didn't appear to have been cleaned or prepared for our stay (six nights). Would not recommend using the motel for more than one night.

Large room and ensuite. Pizzeria/bar on site.

Tired, worn out fixtures and fittings. Luke warm shower. Ensuite bin hadn’t been emptied after previous occupants who left a used sanitary pad in the bin.

We booked the room for a family of 4 based on booking.com advertising a queen and a twin bed. When we clarified this with Malaleuca lodge we were told bedding for 3 people would be provided and if we wanted bedding for 4 we would have to pay an extra $20 per night, cash only - they wouldn't accept eftpos. When I pointed out this wasn't fair, staff were defensive and rude, and said it was booking.com's fault. We were further disappointed to find the room wasn't well clean, dishes were dirty, bathroom walls were dirty, there was a dead cockroach on the floor and the door was flimsy and felt unsecure. Wouldn't recommend this place

We liked the room. Would go back again. Room was missing extra pillows. Need mugs instead of little cups.

Shower ran only lukewarm water with only the hot tap running. Waking up at 4:30am to other customers opening and closing car doors and yelling.

Bed was comfortable

Lots off swearing from next door. Found the owner bit rude.

Staff following up and greeting was pleasant

The bad odour in the room. Curtains look really old and dusty. Taps position one of the worst ive ever seen, leaky taps and too tight to turn off. Bed spread ancient and old. Pillows smell bad. Cups and glasses smell, poorly sanitized.
