"Lovely venue - a bit of a different stay to a boring old hotel in a very well appointed beach hut"

9.0

Superb location. The hut is very well kitted out with everything you need for a stay. The hut is facing the sea and has a great view of the Isle of Wight. Lots of good information before you get there and a nice place to stay particularly off season.

Not so much that we didn't like - but people need to be aware its a 20-25 min walk from hengistbury head car park with whatever you are bringing with you and the car park charges 24 hours a day.

"We had a lovely stay, but the cleanliness of the hut was disappointing & cost was overpriced."

7.0

Fabulous location - cannot knock it. Stunning!

The hut wasn’t as clean as I would expect. There were small hairs everywhere including on the mattresses, pillows and on the crockery. The oven dials were filthy and windows were dirty.

Everything you need. Home from home. Waking up and going to sleep to the sound of the waves.

"Super beach front stay"

10.0

Fantastic location - once you got there. It is a bit of a walk which were warned about. The walk itself is pleasant. The beach hut is lovely with everything you could need. Toilet and shower block are nearby. There is also a bar and food outlet a few minutes from the beach hut. Had a lovely evening watching the waves.

Nothing. We took a collapsible trolley to transport our things from the car park to the beach. So keep in mind that you have carry what you need.

"Well worth the walk from the car park!"

10.0

What a great place, could not ask for anything else, Julian provides everything you could possibly need for your stay, do bring your own bed sheets and pillow slips though. The location is exceptional with toilets and showers on site, and a very short distance from the hut but also, far enough away! The kitchen is fully equipped and we made good use of the teapot. Plenty of torches everywhere and lanterns for the balcony, a BBQ, deck chairs, wind break, umbrella, amazing. Bring a push bike with big paniers if you have the room, for popping to the shops...no vehicles allowed on the Spit. The land train and ferry do not start up until the end of the month, FYI. Up on the mezzanine level are two double futons with feather pillows and quilts and a very comfy mattress. And the best view through the window as you awaken and the sound of the waves to fall asleep to. There are board games and beach buckets and spades for the kids, equipment for kayaking, fishing, body boards, a brolly..the list is surprisingly endless considering the size...it's like the tardis.

Unfortunately, we were unlucky with the weather...
