Milford Sound Overnight Cruise - Fiordland Discovery

Although the weather is not good, the trip is unforgettable as you can stay overnight in the middle of the sea.

The ventilation of the room could be better.

The highlight of our 12-day trip to New Zealand. Absolutely worth it and strongly recommended. Hospitable staff and excellent meals. We loved going into Stirling Falls to enjoy the splash. Spectacular view during the afternoon and the following morning cruises. We got to see a seal, keas and crested penguins.

Loved it all - cabins, shared spaces, food, crew, movie/documentary, spa, kayaking, waterfalls and views.

I’m not sure there is much, if anything, to improve in this experience.

This was a remarkable experience. The crew has a full day planned: touring the sound, experiencing the waterfalls, viewing the seals and dolphins, kayaking, a film about the region, and hot tub time. In the morning, there was a second cruise around the Sound. The team took great care of us and was so kind. The food was also very good. We are glad we did this, as it was a highlight of our trip and a wonderful way to take in Milford Sound.

The scenery is great but it’s made better by the staff who are all exceptional

We were worried about spending so much on one night, but it didn’t disappoint. It was a perfect size boat, accommodating the right amount of guests, very comfortable, fabulous food, amazing hosts.

Die Captain Cook Cabin war eine geräumige Kabine, somit war es für uns sehr komfortabel. Wir hatten einen Skipper, der seit 10 Jahren im Milford Sound fährt und jede Ecke kennt. Er hat viel Wissenswertes erzählt. Seine Crew war kompetent, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Küchenchef hat ein wunderbares 3-Gänge Dinner gezaubert. Der Milford Sound ist ein Wunder der Natur und es gibt keine bessere Art ihn zu erleben als mit der Overnight Cruise.

Very good food, kind crew, very helpful. Interesting speeches about wildlife and environment. Kayaking was nice and indeed scenery is magnificent.
