I did the overnight cruise on the Fiordland Jewel. It was the highlight of my New Zealand trip and I would highly recommend it to everyone! It was a beautiful & well-taken care of boat and it came with a fantastic passionate crew. The room was clean, food was delicious, and milford sound itself was so incredible. So worth the splurge!

I don't see any other option for Milford sound experience than doing this: an overnight boat that's very nice boat, very comfortable and tour with other activities together. Staff members beyond nice, making sure you have the best time possible. Rooms really great considering that this is a boat. Good shower and OMG! did I had one of the best sleeps in NZ at this boat! Food was amazing, poached egg one of the best I had! Plenty of coffee and snacks. There's really not one complain I can think of.

We LOVED our time on the Discovery overnight cruise. The boat and the staff were wonderful. The food was delicious. The cabins were nice, the views were amazing. It was spectacular to see a sunset in the Milford Sound and to kayak as the sun was setting. A few of us even did the cold plunge into the sound. Beautiful and serene.

My only complaint was my fault, not theirs. We had 4 of us and I booked a bunk room for us all to be together. In retropect, I would book two seperate rooms. We were a little cramped and it got muggy in the room with all of us in there. It would have been well worth the price to just book another room.
