Villas la Paz

This place is SUPERB!!! We got an amazing suite of AC rooms, three decks for seating, a pool out our door, a huge kitchen, and gorgeous gardens. And monkeys! And a 10" walk to a secluded calm-water beach with white sand, no development, and rocky areas for snorkeling. Once we arrived, we didn't want to leave. We all wished we could have stayed longer. This would be a great place to stay for many days with a big crew of friends a/o family.

Self cooking facilities were good location 5 minutes walk down a quiet road to Playa Conchal 25 minute drive to Tamarindo Very quiet

It would have been nice to have a few cooking supplies (oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, spices) Monkeys opened the refrigerator and ate all of our food. Need to be aware of this and make sure to lock the fridge (there was a clasp and a lock but no key)

It was a great location, short walk to the beach. There was one restaurant and the facility had a great pool.

It is very remote location and there is no contact person on site. We were two female travellers, we needed some help one evening and there was nobody available, would have been great to have a WhatsApp number.

The host was extremely friendly, helpful and always in a good mood. He even searched for us to show us monkeys crossing the trees around the area. We enjoyed also the beaches which can be reached in a few minutes. All in all it was a really nice stay, we only can recommend it.

amazing location a short walk from beautiful Conchal beach and short drives to Tamarindo and Playa Flamingo. Property was stunning, spacious and spotless. Lovely pool, really chilled environment. Andres and staff were really friendly and helpful.

This is the perfect place to go if what you’re looking for is a true get-away in nature. The villas are all nestled between beautiful trees, gorgeous tropical plants all around you, and mornings greet you with sounds of birds and howler monkeys in the nearby protected forest. The team working there were super welcoming and kind, and it is clear that they are truly a team, dedicated to providing a relaxed, unpretentious environment that can make you really feel at home. If you’re trying to have a maximalist packed tourism agenda, there are plenty of other places for that. If you want to feel like you’ve been away to a nature paradise with kind hosts, this is a winner.

The only thing I can think of as a negative is not really to do with the property or under their control at all, but the road leading to the property from Matapalo was rough with many potholes. This made it initially challenging to get there, and we were racing the sun to get there before dark - so plan ahead. This also adds time to get to other places - however, we were very happy to stick with the gorgeous local beaches and the lower-traffic nature of the place led to a lovely, relaxing experience.

It was a great spot to stay, in the jungle, but still close to the beaches. There are some beautiful beaches along the 'dirt road' where we saw turtles laying eggs and dotted stingrays! Big house, with pool next to it! Very friendly owner, flexible and good communication, that helped us alot, thx!

It's a bit 'old' in the basis, owner is slowly building it up again (great job!) and it's a bit hard to find because of lack of better directions. Easy fix I would say ;-) Also they could have a bit better communication on the website (pool was shared, we thought private)
