Kawaguchiko Lakeside Hotel

Spent 2 nights here. Unfortunately did not see Mount Fuji, but staff were very nice and accommodating. My room was spacious, with, what could have been a great view of Mount Fuji. Good location and the pickup from and dropoff to the train station were welcome.

Hotel looks dated, but I knew this when I booked. The use of the same slippers as every other guest is unhygienic.

Staff was exceptional service and spirit. They made my stay very special. My room had amazing large windows framing Mt Fuji San

The welcome was very warm and it felt like home instantly. The staff of the Ryokan is really kind and really helpful. They try to meet most of your needs even if you don't mention any. And if you do, then you can be sure they will do their maximum to help you out. The room was amazing, with an astonishing view. We've seen photos of the hotel / room, but we were nowhere close to the reality. The breakfast was a typical Japanese one with goods from the local area, I highly recommend it. The staff will guide you through all the surroundings information you need to know. We went for a bicycle tour of the lake after renting some at the location the staff recommended (it was very cheap) and that lead us to an unforgivable moment. The Mt. Fuji is everywhere and the views from around the lakes are basically postcards every time. There are a lot of others activities to do in the area, such as hikings. The hotel shuttle took us from the hotel to the train station so we can go for one. I might be forgetting some things I liked about the hotel, but one thing is for sure : you can book this hotel blindly, there is not a single chance you will be disappointed.

There is nothing that could have been better. Not a single thing was left off by the staff. Our one night stay at this traditional Ryokan was as good as it could be, for sure the climax of our 2 weeks Japan trip. We would have stayed longer if we knew beforehand.

The location is perfect. Right next to the bus stop and with an awesome view of mount fuji. The shuttle is available for pick up and drop off to hotel and you can rent bicycle nearby to explore the area. The lake side is accessible via few mins of walk. Private onsen, Lawson within 200m and amazing view of mount fuji. This place is awesome.

My room's window was directly facing the Fuji Mountain, but due to the bad weather, we could not see the mountain! The staff are very nice and Great breakfast!

The Onsen public bath is indoor, no window, no view.
