Kawaguchiko Lakeside Hotel

The staff were super super amazing and tended to everything we could ever ask for. It is traditional style Japanese lodging and the staff is very attentive, while also giving us privacy of course. If you want corporate lodging where you never interact with staff, not for you. But you will miss out on the amazing benefits of a more intimate style experience in Japan. Also the view of Mt Fuji is amazing, breakfast is great if you want to pay a little extra of course, and the shuttle to the station is very convenient. Free wifi, luggage forwarding, laundry and certified onsen on site.

I booked Japanese style room 201 and it exceeded all expectations. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully traditional. The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming. They personally gave me a tour of the entire property upon check in which made me feel right at home. The view of Mt Fuji from my room was absolutely breathtaking, waking up to see the mountain every morning was such a treat. The bus stop is very close by along with an easy place to rent bikes. The onsen was a highlight, available both morning and evening with a peaceful atmosphere. Truly a special place to stay near Mt Fuji. Thank you!

La atención del personal. Nos fueron a buscar a la estación del tren. Y también te llevan de vuelta. Siempre con una sonrisa y amabilidad. Teníamos una habitación con vista al Fuji, lo vimos a primera hora xq a nuestra llegada llovía. Estuvimos en el onzen Todo muy limpio. Desayuno al estilo japonés, nada de occidente. Igualmente algo nuevo. Muy bueno todo.

The location was great! Part of the main reason why I picked it too. Maybe 5-10 min drive from kawaguchiko train station. A less than 5 minute walk to the bus station (which will take you all around kawaguchiko / train station as well). And it’s right by a part of the lake! Not only that, but the property was very clean. Place is quiet! And the workers there and owner were soo sweet and accommodating. They also do complimentary shuttle service for pick up and departures.

Absolutely nothing! This place was 10/10.

The property has amazing views of Mt. Fuji and is located near Lake Kawaguchiko (with glimpses). It is close to the sight seeing bus stop, the Toy Museum and cafes. The room was beautiful - very traditional with tatami mats on the floor, light and airy and the most incredible view of Fuji-San from the window. The windows were triple glazed which would be important in winter and made the room quiet, despite its being on a fairly busy road. The onsen is wonderful - not too busy and the water is the perfect temperature. I had a sore knee and it made it feel better and I felt very relaxed after my soak.

There aren’t many restaurants nearby which are open in the evening and the property doesn’t have a restaurant for lunch and dinner. The bathroom is a little dated and small and the shower is on a diverter from the sink tap and so is difficult to operate.

Vi hade en fantastisk vistelse på hotellet och kan varmt rekommendera det. Ägarna, ett äldre par, var otroligt gulliga och tog hand om oss på bästa möjliga sätt. Vi har nog aldrig tidigare fått så personlig och omtänksam service. Trots att engelskan ibland var lite knackig gjorde de verkligen sitt allra bästa för att hjälpa oss och få oss att känna oss välkomna – vilket gjorde hela upplevelsen ännu mer charmig och genuin. Frukosten som serverades nere i hotellets restaurang och lobby var jättebra, och det var en perfekt start på dagen. Hotellet har dessutom ett fantastiskt läge med otroligt fina vyer över Fuji och nära till sjön Kawaguchiko. Efter långa dagar var det också underbart att kunna koppla av i hotellets onsen. Ett perfekt avslut på dagen.

The staff was exceptionally helpful. The hot springs were wonderful and we had the best view of Mount Fiji from our bed room. On our anniversary, they made it special with flowers and local gifts.

O melhor hotel e as melhores pessoas que conhecemos no Japão. O hotel é estilo japonês clássico, muito limpo, camas super confortáveis e decoração muito cuidada. Acordar e ver o Monte Fuji da janela é algo inexplicável. Não tenho palavras para descrever a forma como nos receberam e ajudaram em tudo o que precisamos. Recomendo a 1000%, um dia sem dúvida que vamos voltar.
