Honeyguide Tented Safari Camps - Mantobeni

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet établissement !!! Les tentes sont spacieuses et agréables, nous pouvons régulièrement admirer les éléphants qui passent devant notre terrasse ! Mention spéciale pour la piscine avec l’abreuvoir pour éléphants qui permet de les observer très régulièrement pour notre plus grand plaisir !!! Le personnel est d’une extrême gentillesse, les repas sont bons! Les game drive sont géniaux, notre guide Satis connaît la réserve comme sa poche et nous fait profiter de ses connaissances à propos des animaux. nous avons eu la chance de voir des lions, guépard, girafes, zèbres, rhinocéros, hippopotames, buffles et j’en oublie… Super séjour en résumé !!!

Great game - we saw all the big 5 plus hippos, giraffes, rhinos, hyenas and more. The only other animal I would have liked to see was a cheetah but I heard they were spotted the day before we arrived, so some of it is just luck of the draw. Lions and elephants were the stars of the show. They were plentiful. We saw them on 5/5 game drives. Elephants also walked through the Mantobeni camp at least once a day, as other reviews have stated. As for the other big 5, we saw buffalos on 4/5 drives, leopards and rhinos on 1/5. Beautiful property with large, comfortable luxury tents. Food was good but won’t blow you away. One night we had a big, outdoor BBQ with more traditional food and that was a lot of fun. (Hyenas also circled the area, waiting to scavenge, which was quite cool.) Staff was kind and helpful - they organized a surprise private dinner for us on our last night because it was our honeymoon. It was very thoughtful.

No air conditioning in tents meant we couldn’t really hang out in them during the day. Cooled down in the evenings so it was fine overnight. A lot of the USB ports in the tent were broken and not usable. Some might not like the covered trucks but we weren’t bothered by them.

Fantastic location, food was excellent, service superb, all round fantastic safari experience, loved the elephants visiting the swimming pool for a drink!

Given the location nothing really, it meet and even exceeded our expectations.
