Wadi Rum UFO Luxotel

We absolutely loved our stay at UFO LUXOTEL in Wadi Rum. The Martian-style domes were incredible and made for such a unique and memorable desert experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the food was amazing — far better than we expected. We also did the 4x4 desert tour, which was a fantastic experience and a real highlight of the stay. A small tip for future guests: it’s best to pay for the tour in cash. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Jordan, and we would definitely stay here again if we return. Highly recommended.

There was nothing we didn’t like

Location

No chairs on our patio when we arrived – – had to ask for them. They were delivered. Not enough towels– – went to the front desk to ask for additional. Staff said it would be delivered. None never came. Lightbulbs out in the room. The room was definitely lit. This did not help with less lightbulbs. Shared on one of the lights looks like it had been in a liquid war if some kind all stained. Needs replaced. Would have liked to know there would be additional costs for the astronomy show in the description. Love the show and paid the price. This is just an FYI. We paid for the dinner buffet additional or half fair or whatever that was. The dinner was delicious. The breakfast was delicious. Staff in the dining room very accommodating. In general, the staff was lovely. It’s just they really didn’t follow through on some of our requests. Our morning desert arrived on time – – excellent excellent excellent.

Lunch with very poor choice

The rooms were fantastic, the food was exceptional, the staff were delightful and the stargazing show was worth the money and more. We didn’t think this was an option but it was a great surprise and a fantastic experience.

Die Zimmer sind außer gewöhnlich und man sollte einmal im Leben so übernachtet haben. Die Zimmer sind recht groß, das Bett sehr bequem und recht sauber. Wir hatten in unserem Bad einen kleinen Wasserschaden, der das Laminat in Mitleidenschaft gezogen hat aber ansonsten war es sehr sauber. Das Essen ist auch sehr gut. Eine sehr große Auswahl am Buffet. Es besteht aber auch die Möglichkeit a la carte zu bestellen. Die Preise sind d auch nicht extrem hoch. Eine Pizza kostet umgerechnet zum Beispiel 9 Euro und auch die Getränke sind nicht teuer. Die Mitarbeiter sind d alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Die Touren i die Wüste bricht man am Besten direkt im Camp. Auch die haben faire Preise. Für eine 4 ständige Jeeptour zahlt man pro Jeep 70 Dollar, egal ob man zu zweit oder zu sechst fährt. Man kann auch alles per Karte bezahlen, es ist kein Bargeld notwendig.

Abends bällen ab und zu die Hunde. Das ist unvermeidbar aber manchmal etwas störend gewesen.

The location is of course fantastic as is the overall setting. But what we found the nicest about this Camp was the stuff, from the reception staff who was extremely helpful to the Cafe and Restaurant staff. We had an unfortunate experience with a driver on a tour and we were offered the choice of an alternative tour or a full refund without even asking for it, they were extremely kind always asking how our day was. All in all a wonderful place to experience Wadi Rum!
