Kobori Ryokan

It's close to Hirosaki Park and nearby attractions. The staff was very kind in keeping my luggage before check-in. The room was very confortable and cozy.

Some aspects of the facilites look like they need repair.

The service is quite good, but you should consider where you want to go in Hirosaki. Because you need to take the transportation in the city and it takes some times to go to the castle or other tourist spots in the city

The hot spring place is kind of boring and not well organized, you can see lots of hair around the drain which is a bit disgusting. The hotel is smoking friendly which I don’t like it.

Breakfast was really good, gluten free. Room was quite large compared to hotels. Area was quiet. Take the loop bus to get there from the station.

Had a smell of cigarettes sometimes, not sure where the smoking area was.

Traditional and a bit dated Ryokan located close to the bar area. Despite this, the room was quiet at night. Friendly and attentive staff, although unfortunately they didn't speak English. The room was basic but accomodating. The parking spots out front are not to be used, but a larger parking is available on the side.

I did not quite understand the situation with the public bath, but the room had a shower cabin. As mentioned in other comments, the smoking room is the hall, so be prepared for some smoke smell when passing through.
