Location is good.

Location was great !! We had a traditional Japanese dinner which we didn't enjoy - too much raw fish. Breakfast was moderately better. Room was nice. Loved the yukata & accessories provided by the hotel & the advise on how to wear it !!

Perhaps a choice of menus for dinner could be a good alternative - it was a real shame we didn't enjoy dinner - especially as it was served over 2.30 hrs - which was a long time.

Staying at Sensui was one of the highlights of the trip! First and foremost, the staff are wonderful. We had the joy of knowing Peco and Mina the most and they were kind and took the time to add little, personal touches to make sure your entire stay was amazing. The room was large, clean, spacious and modern. The facilities were incredible especially the private onsen and there’s also a really nice library on the second floor which we loved reading in. You are provided with a yukata and sandals to wear during your stay. I would highly recommend eating at the hotel. The omakase meal is fantastic! We had dinner for two nights and the seafood is incredible! There’s also Japanese wine and sake to drink. Kinosaki is a beautiful town to explore and we loved going to all the different onsens but it was made even better by knowing we had Sensui to return to.

Nothing, it was incredible. If anything I would say book 3 nights so you can explore the town more.

Sensui was an amazing stay- probably one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Everything was so thoughtful, the staff were so incredibly helpful and kind, the property was beautiful and the private baths were amazing. I would 100% stay again.

Our room was a bit on the older side, but very clean and well maintained so not a real complaint.

Sensui was easy to walk to from the train station (8 min), and close to all of the onsens. It was tucked back on a quiet street, and felt very serene. The lobby was updated and very nice. Staff allowed us to leave our baggage prior to check-in which was helpful. When we checked in they were very nice and kind, and walked us through everything. They gave us a welcome drink, and free onsen passes for our time in the town. We really enjoyed the private Onsen baths at the hotel. There were two and they were first come first serve. We had no problem finding an available one in the morning, which also gave us the chance to shower (no shower in our Japanese style room). We were given free Yukata to wear while walking around the town. Overall our Japanese style room was spacious and we enjoyed trying out sleeping on the tatami floors. The staff came to our room at 5-6 pm to prepare the beds for us.

The biggest issue with this property was that the bathroom in our Japanese style room smelled quite strongly of old Urine. There was a western style toilet and urinal and we think maybe the urinal was the problem. We asked staff shortly after check in to re-clean the bathroom, which they agreed to kindly, but when we returned to our room later, it was still quite smelly which was very off-putting for a room that we paid a lot for. It seems they had opened a window, but not much else was done. We used some air freshener and kept the door to the bathroom closed and it was okay for one night— but I will say it was disappointing in such a nice hotel to have such a terrible smell in our room. My only other complaint is that it was quite difficult to find a staff member- there’s no clear area to find staff in the lobby area, so we had trouble tracking people down to ask for additional help with the smell. It turns out there was a bell but we had overlooked that. Overall everything was great but we probably wouldn’t stay again because for the cost, more attention should have been given to the smell issue and we found it hard to get help with it. We are easy going and made the best of it but I think someone else might have been a lot more concerned with this
